Sturdy and attractive. Good size. I don't put the bags on the rods provided. I wrap the bag over the bottom under the lid. It gets held in place very well. Sometimes I will place a small plastic grocery bag over the rods to catch messy items like coffee grounds. The item is very functional. Also nice to have a place to put a few extra folded bags. Happy with the purchase. Read more

I hesitated buying this because of the higher price, but after using it for a month, it really is the best trash can I've ever had! First of all, ease of use - just open with your foot. Second : The lid actually seals as it closes, preventing those onion trimmings odor from invading your whole kitchen. Third : Easy to load a trash bag, and has a strong steel holder to keep it in place. And finally : It is very elegant and easy to keep clean -especially around those edges. When I realize how often I use it, I am so pleased that I splurged for it. It really is Nice !! Read more

This Trash Can is a game-changer! Fits perfectly in my bathroom and tight spaces without compromising on capacity. The Clorox odor barrier really works—I can’t smell anything, even between emptying. The can is sturdy, easy to clean, and the lid opens smoothly with one hand. Great design and functionality all around—highly recommend! Read more

This was actually the only kitchen-sized trash can I found that was narrow enough to fit in the small space between my sink and stove... and when you've got a small galley kitchen, every little bit of space counts! Anyhow, I've had it for several months now and figured I'd share my thoughts. It still looks nice, functions as expected, and has overall held up quite well. For those of you with dogs: the lid closes flush, but does not have a locking mechanism (which is not a problem in our house, but I know it can be for some). If I could change one thing about this trash can, it would be the way the bags are inserted. When I originally ordered this, I had assumed the black rim was what held the bag in place; it's not. Instead, there are two bars under the lid that you must lift and tuck the bag under from the top. The black rim - according to the instructions - can be lifted to remove "overfilled" bags (which apparently refers to just about every normally-filled, more than half-full bag)... but you must first lift the inner bars to release the bag before then lifting the black rim... Now, this probably doesn't sound convenient to start with... but it gets worse. If you live with anyone who would rather smash the trash down than replace the bag or likes to keep adding things once it's full, then good luck. If the trash is filled to the point that the lid doesn't close flush, then you WILL have to stick your hands into actual trash to lift those stupid bars. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't feel like that amounts to a very sanitary design for bag removal. Long story short: great trash can except for the disgusting design for bag removal. The media could not be loaded. Works nice. It is a space saver. No plastic can inside. Just the bag on wire holders. I think that is ok for most places, maybe not the kitchen, or in places you are tossing sharp stuff that might leak. The ad says “with Clorox protection”. I don’t smell any Clorox, so I don’t know what to say about that. Costco kitchen trash bags fit it perfectly. Soft close is nice. Read more

I've had this trash can for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it! It had all the features I was looking for, and they work well. I was hesitant to buy at first because it only had a small number of reviews; I usually only buy products with tons of 4+ star reviews. Here are my thoughts. First, I needed a trash can that was "portrait" as opposed to "landscape". It is slender and fits my space well. The step on mechanism works perfectly, the lid goes up smoothly as opposed to violently like some trash cans. It is easy to switch to stay permanently open which I do a lot when cooking. It closes gently, promptly, and quietly. The open/close mechanism is metal which is more sturdy and long lasting as opposed to my previous plastic piece of crap trash can. Fingerprints and smears wipe completely clean. The trash can has some weight to it so will not tip with normal use. When the lid is closed, there is no way my dogs can use their noses to nudge open the lid. The handle in the back makes it easy to carry. That handle also holds a roll of bags but the roll I had was too fat to fit; I would have to use some of the roll before being able to place it in the holder. However, I don't care about that feature so still 5 stars. I was worried that a 12 gallon can instead of 13 gallon can would make a noticeable difference in the amount of trash it would hold but it is not a problem at all. I had researched trash cans, features, and reviews for quite some time and this one works perfectly! Read more

It is well designed and the perfect size for my space. Yes, as mentioned by some reviewers, it can travel slightly but nothing that bothers me. It's easy to slide back. Very pleased and I recommend it. Read more

Exceeded expectation. Plastic bag fits over the interior can without showing on the outside. Lid is slow close and fits inside the outer rim. (Versus overlapping the rim). You need to use the step on the bottom to open bc how the lid fits. Slim stainless design is attractive. Happy with purchase. Read more
