I love this book! I have been making goat milk soap for years using a basic recipe but was not confident on my own to change anything. This book explains oils, essential oils, colorants, and the whole process in a very easy way. It gives a lot of info on the different oils you can use, what they are for, and the amounts. I am so excited to branch out with the oils and add more herbs and colors. Read more

Very informative information on making goat milk soap. This book answered so many of the questions I had surrounding the topic. I strive to consume as natural as possible and this is a great resource to get you started in natural soap making. My father made soap years ago and it was wonderful. None of us kids had acne. Informative read on oils, herbs for additives and processes. Also quite a few recipes are included. I'm gathering my supplies to get started on this soap making journey thanks to this book! Read more

There are so many books out in regards to homemade soap making. I have found myself looking at books they devote a page or two maybe a couple recipes on the process of making goat milk soap. It's nice to see this is dedicated to goat milk soap making. Including a chapter actually on raising the goats was also nice to read. You hardly ever see this in the books. I'm a small business owner of goat milk soap. We raise our own goats everything is from scratch. So I give high regards to this book and all the areas it covers in the soap making process. Read more

When my husband told me about this book I had to buy it. The information in this book is some of the best I have read. My husband started down the road of soap making because he is a beekeeper and wants to use some of the by-products of his business to produce other things. Soap making was the first thing he thought of. He was also thinking about when I retire from teaching I can help with this process. The book talks about using goats milk instead of water to make your soap. My experience with goats milk was the following: I love goats milk cheese and when I was younger when we drove to a nearby town once a month my mother would stop at a house that was selling goat milk fudge. I had no ideas of how beneficial using goat milk in soaps was. There are all types of nutrients for your skin in raw goats milk. The author also mentions using powdered goat milk or getting it from a grocery store if you can't find raw goats milk. He talks about the different types of fats you can use, how much, and how to weigh it. He discusses the different types of essential oils and their benefits, combinations or possible problems. I actually look forward to helping my husband with my first expedition into soap making. Read more
