On me (5’4”, 128 lbs), it’s a true bodycon that lands about 3 inches past my butt, creating that promised subtle flare. The mini length is perfect. Occasion Versatility: Nailed it. I’m wearing the black to a holiday dinner with coworkers (with heels and stockings), and I agree the white would be perfect for a wedding shower. It’s a great cocktail/party dress. Important Fit Note (Heads Up!): The description says "snug yet comfortable," which is accurate for the body. However, it doesn’t mention the arm fit. The "frilled sleeve cuffs" are not very stretchy. This dress is adorable! Very soft and comfy, airy and flowy. For reference, I'm 5'7 and 1/2", 125 lbs, and usually wear a medium, but got a large to be safe. And other than it being like an inch or 2 too wide on the waist, it's perfect! Not skin tight, yet not baggy at all, perfect sleeve length, and not so short that it's inappropriate to wear to church. I would recommend adding a belt just to break up the monotony of the dress a bit (and to cinch the waist if needed). I tried it w/ a skinny red (and also black) belt and it was perfect!!! The only thing I'm not crazy about is the back zipper (super small and hard to reach by yourself) and the red is verrrrry close to orange. It's like an orangey-red, and the velvety leaf detail is basically orange. Which is ok. But just don't expect a rich, cherry red or you'll be disappointed.
