I have mixed feelings about this manual nose hair trimmer. It is a really nice heavy duty looking device made entirely of metal. The design makes it easy to hold and operate. There is however a learning curve to using it. It seems to require a sweep and then squeeze motion, at least in my case. My husband has his own manual trimmer and he seems to be able to just stick it up there, squeeze, repeat multiple times and then done. He has fine hair, lucky him! My nose hair is extremely course, thick, and unruly. Think wild boar bristles! Although this manual trimmer would be great for my husband, it wasn't quite up to the task for me. The blades are not as sharp as I would like. Raking the hair so that it actually ends up in the trimmer end was time consuming. Once ready to make a cut, squeezing and then releasing the finger mechanism is easy. In my case it is just not terribly effective. This being said, in some ways this is a great product for me as I'm terrified of sticking tiny scissors up my nose (very clumsy). The battery powered nose trimmers feel weird to me and are uncomfortable, almost like nails on a chalkboard. Perhaps it is worth it to me for the extra effort involved in using this manual trimmer. It comes in a nice metal fliptop case, with cutouts for both the trimmer and included cleaning brush. It is apparent that the maker is trying to produce a quality product. It comes in a fantastic metal box. It is very durable and sturdy, and so is the nose hair trimmer. It is high quality metal for both. The rose gold color of the hair trimmer is very pretty. I am a woman and using this, so I am not sure why it is advertised in the description as being for men. I have never used a manual nose trimmer. Usually, I use an electric or battery operated one, so this is different. It does work but doesn't seem to cut the hair as short. I like it but can't say that I love it. It's definitely nice to not have to worry about having batteries on hand. It is easy to squeeze and operate. It also has a little brush to clean it off after use. Read more

Usually when my husband heads to the barber shop, the barber trims his eyebrows, ear, and nose hair. We had one of these trimmers years ago. The Numcoin stainless steel trimmer works quite well and can keep him neat in between haircut times. At the barbershop they are well-versed in how to use a pair of scissors and keep things nicely in order that way. This trimmer is small and a very well-made tool. There’s also a small brush that one can use to keep it clean in between uses. It will come apart by simply removing a brass-colored screw for easier cleaning and sterilization. It can easily be cleaned by dipping it in alcohol. The trimmer can actually be adjusted slightly to improve how it works. I can loosen or tighten the screw on the shank ever so slightly to do so. This nose and ear trimmer works very well and is a painless procedure. Barbers do a better job, particularly in the ear region, but the Numcoin is an inexpensive option to use. This trimmer has very good spring action. If the setting is too loose, it may not cut properly and could pull. When not in use you can press the screw down and it will totally close up. It can be stored in the Altoids-like box or can be portable if that screw is all the way down. Read more
