I love the dainty size and light weight of these little hoop earrings. The teardrop CZs catches the light, and they dance sparkly. I have a favorite pair of small 18K gold lever back ball earrings that I always wear. I wear them 24/7 and only change them out occasionally for special outfits. I am mentioning my gold lever backs because it is important to UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REAL GOLD TOUGHNESS, AND THESE FUN COSTUME EARRINGS. The base metal for these adorable ear bobs is brass with gold plating over it. Brass exposed to any dampness will corrode and tarnish. The company has graciously included a JEWELRY CARE card. (See photo.) “Don’t get wet and remove before bathing, avoid direct contact with perfume, remove before workout, and remove before sleeping.” Moisture of any kind, including sweat, may cause damage. That moisture damage can lead to the CZ’s becoming cloudy and to green ears! My advice is, go ahead and buy them. They are cute, sparkly, and fun to wear with just about everything. These arrived packaged well and in a cute box. The earrings are really cute and felt light in my ears. I put them on right away and immediately noticed that one of them didn't latch closed like the other. These are huggies, and when you close them there's a little groove for it to click into so they don't open up and fall out of your ear while you're wearing them. One of the earrings did that perfectly and there's an audible noise when it clicks into place. The other one did not do that. And in fact I almost lost it because it did not latch into place and the earring opened up and fell out. Luckily I was in my car when it happened and it fell into my lap so I noticed right away and didn't lose it. I'd been wearing them all day at work and it hadn't been a problem. I think it must have gotten caught on my hair and that pulled it open. The one that doesn't latch into place falls open pretty easily. All this to say, since only one of the earrings is like this, I think I just got unlucky with my set. However, every time I wear them I will have to keep in mind that one of them could fall out and be willing to take the risk that I will lose it. Since I didn't spend my actual money on these, it would not be a big deal to me if I lost one. But if I had spent my actual money on them, I think I would return them because I don't want to have to worry about potentially losing one every time I wear them.
