Great tasting molasses! Hard to find black strap locally. Fast delivery and well packaged. Will be getting more shortly. This is the real deal. Has some good bite. Goes great with a cast iron skillet of buttermilk cornbread! Read more
Leaked
Unfortunately, the jar leaked since the inner seal was not attached all around the lid. It is a plastic jar and it flexes so the seal gets messed up. Needs to be put in a plastic bag and or wrapped when put into the box. Read more

great product. packaging makes it worthless
First, this is really high quality molasses. I've been using it for years. BUT, if the jar sometimes leaks all over during shipping and damages other products in the same box, then it becomes unusable. This has happened several times. Not every time. They went to a taller, narrow mouth jar for one shipment. It did not leak and I thought that problem was solved. This time they are back to wide mouth -- and a big mess. I am done. Sorry Golden Barrel, but if you want my business, contact me and let me know you have fixed the problem. Excellent molasses, but not worth the hassle. Read more
