I purchased this item for my new queen sized guest bed. It fit well and is comfortable under the sheets. What I am most happy with is it's ease in cleaning and water resistance. Not long after purchasing this item I decided to sleep in the new guest bed to see how comfortable it would be for guests. I didn't make up the bed, leaving the sheets exposed, after I got up. The next day I was gone all day, which apparently annoyed my dog. She decided to get up on the bed and urinate in the exact spot I was sleeping, saturating that area of the sheets and getting on the new bamboo mattress pad. Anyway, the pad worked wonderfully. No urine made it through to the new mattress and washing it in the washer and drier was easy. After the wash it was like new and ready to be placed back on the bed. I always had bad luck with mattress protectors, they would be super hot, not fit well, be super loud and crinkly and we would shred them since we toss and turn and also have cats. Total. Game. Changer. The material is soft, and totally breathable. Haven’t had any issues with overheating and my husband has hyperhidrosis and runs very hot frequently. So far we have slept totally soundly, not being disturbed by the loud crinkling like other mattress protectors and our pets don’t feel the need to scratch it up. So far it hasn’t slipped off the corners, but even if it does all the other pros are so nice! Will update should a spill occur, but as of right now we are pleased with the security and comfort this cover gives us! Definitely will be repurchasing in the future if the quality continues to exceed expectations! Update: Well, a spill occurred! When you have a baby that may create an accident when it’s time to change them, then you’ll see how handy these came in. I’m in love. It doesn’t soak easily, yes, I said easily because they all will, so unless a lot of liquid is poured on the same spot then it may soak a bit, after first dissipating. Read more

I have 2 cats with stomach issues and sometimes they get sick on my bed, this has stopped any of that from leaking onto my mattress. It is very soft and you don’t feel it or hear it like some others. It is cooling as advertised. It isn’t thick if you are looking for some extra padding, this is just to protect your mattress from any liquids and dirt. It did have a smell on arrive and it disappears after a few washes. It can take a bit longer to dry but for me that isn’t an issue especially since it is such great quality.
