Smooth Application, Reliable Finish I used this Gorilla all-purpose wood filler on a few projects recently, including patching some nail holes in trim and filling a small gouge in an outdoor bench, and it performed really well. The texture is smooth, easy to apply, and doesn’t clump or dry too fast, so I had plenty of working time to get a clean surface. Once dried, it sanded down evenly without crumbling, which made it simple to blend with the surrounding wood. The natural finish is a big plus—it’s close to a neutral wood tone, which makes it easier to stain or paint over without odd color bleed-through. I also like that it’s water resistant, so I feel confident using it on outdoor projects like the bench and fence posts. So far, it’s held up well against a couple of summer rainstorms without cracking or softening. The only thing to keep in mind is that like most fillers, you need to slightly overfill the gap since it shrinks a touch as it dries. If you sand too aggressively, you’ll end up with a shallow patch and may need to reapply. Bottom line: A versatile, reliable wood filler that applies easily, sands smooth, and works both indoors and outdoors—definitely a handy tub to keep around for repairs and DIY projects. Read more

Seems a bit too dry. IDK what I can add to make it softer. Read more

It is good putty, it sets hard and sands well. The only drawback was that as it came, it was a little dry and didn't work all that great. I had to add a few drops of water to each tub and soften it up and then it worked fine. Read more

I recently used Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler for a few projects around the house, and I’m really impressed. I’m not a professional—just a regular person fixing up some dings, holes, and cracks in furniture and trim—and this stuff made the job way easier than I expected. The wood filler is smooth and easy to apply, kind of like thick peanut butter, but it spreads nicely and stays in place. It dries fast, which I loved because I didn’t have to wait all day to sand or paint over it. Once it dried, it was hard and solid, not crumbly or flaky like some others I’ve tried before. I also liked that it didn’t shrink or crack after drying, even on slightly deeper spots. And it took paint and stain really well—it blended right in with the rest of the wood. One tip: don’t leave the lid open too long, or it can dry out a little bit. Just close it tight when you’re done and it should last a while. Whether you’re patching nail holes, fixing furniture, or touching up trim, this is a great product for beginners and DIYers. Highly recommend! Read more

I used the Gorilla All Purpose Wood Filler in Natural Finish to repair my front entry door, and it worked exactly as I hoped. The application was smooth and easy to control, and once cured, it held up impressively—even in direct heat and sun exposure. One of the standout features is how well it accepts stain. After sanding and staining, the repair blended seamlessly with the surrounding wood, making the fix practically invisible. No cracking, no shrinking—just a clean, durable result. Overall, I’m very happy with this product. It’s reliable, easy to work with, and delivers a professional-looking finish. Definitely a go-to for future wood repair projects Read more

It was just ok. It took multiple attempts to get it to work due to crumbing. Good color match for the wood I repaired. Read more

I was re-upholstering an antique chair and after I pulled off the old fabric, I realized much of the wood had splintered where it had been re-upholstered numerous times. Not only was it a mess, it didn’t offer a very smooth or sturdy base for a new row of staples & fresh upholstery. So I used Gorilla Wood glue everywhere it had actually split, but I used this to fill in every single nail hole. Filled in beautifully & sanded down perfectly. I did *not* realize this stuff is super toxic just touching it with your hands—& definitely be careful sanding. Keep pets away from it as well (you don’t want them to get the dust on their feet & lick it off). I always thought it was totally inert but I know now to wear gloves & a respirator. So works great but take some basic precautions. Read more
