This wall repair kit was surprisingly easy to use—even for someone who isn’t very handy like me. The spackling compound was smooth and applied nicely, and the instructions were clear. The tricky part was the sanding. I got a little heavy-handed with the compound, and the bulge took forever to smooth out with the included sanding block. I eventually bought a sander from Lowe’s, which made the job much faster. Overall, it works well, but patience (and maybe extra tools) helps. Tip: Apply thin layers and sand gradually—you’ll save time and frustration. Verdict: Great for DIY wall repairs, just be ready to take your time with sanding. Read more
Works great! I had a golf ball sized hole in the sheet rock of our garage. This kit was perfect to easily patch and seal it up. Looks like it never existed. Great product, the patch stuck very well, and the spackle was the perfect consistency. Read more
While I didn’t end up using the actual patch, it seems very sturdy. The putty is easy to apply and clean up, and then sets about as firmly as drywall as one could hope. It’s been easy and useful in filling little dings and holes around the house. Would recommend for price and ease of use. Read more
Simple, easy, quick fix. Is it perfect? No. Is the hole patched? Yes. The kit is great value for the money. The only thing is the provided sanding block wasn’t enough I had to use a different sanding block. Read more
Just make sure to heed the warnings on the back. I got the repair kit option, and on the back it says to be careful not to breath in the dust from this stuff, or to get it in your eyes. So when it's time to sand down this stuff after it dries, I'd make sure to wear some good eye protection as well as some kind of respiratory mask. But that's just me. Maybe all that's not really needed, but I like to be safer than sorry. But anyway, for anyone who needs to repair a hole or holes in some sheetrock, then I would definitely recommend this Gorilla Wall Repair spackling & primer in one. The kit comes with a little 220 grit sanding block, a 3" putty knife, and a 4" x 4" self-adhesive patch. And then, the tub that comes with IT, is an 8 ounce tub of spackling & primer. One of the other options here that's just the tub of spackling & primer by itself, is actually a 16 ounce tub. And then, if you were to get the kit, and one 4" x 4" self-adhesive patch isn't enough, then the other option here is another one of those by itself. Read more
