This is one of my favorite small tripods. Since it is small it's easy to bring along when hiking or camping. Works well with my DSLR and GoPro. The legs are very sturdy and hold their position even after many uses (I have owned this for a couple of years). The ball head is nice for adjustments and the level helps keep your shot level if you like. The rubber on each ball on the leg adds grip no matter how you bend it. Its good for simple flat surfaces, uneven surfaces, and even wrapping around objects. This is a very nice product. Read more

The media could not be loaded. The actual arms are pretty good. It stays up and doesn’t fall down with my go pro mounted. It also seems like it could take 4 or 5 times the weight of my go pro (not that they’re all that heavy anyway, but the build quality on it is good). What can be a little frustrating is the neck and ball joint. It stays in place well when tightened, but if it is nudged against something it will move some. This is probably better to keep it from breaking if pressure is put on the ball joint, but it’s just something to be aware of. Not a bad product at all, probably the best out there, but just something to be mindful of. Read more

I really like this action tripod! I've used it for awkward hanging angles with my GoPro as well as stationary video recording with my phone (phone holder not included). It feels very sturdy and holds its position very well! I have not used it for any heavy cameras, though I am sure it can hold the weight of most point-and-shoot cameras. Attaching a heavier DSRL might not be the easiest setup, unless you set the legs really wide apart, in which case becomes a hassle if you are lacking the space for the base. All in all a good sturdy adjustable tripod! Definitely worth the money if you plan to use it for stationary video recording or time-lapses! It also folds quite easily for storage in a backpack or bag! Read more

Using this with my GoPro Hero 3+ Silver. This is probably the best accessory I've bought for the camera. I straighten the legs and use it as a monopod so I can walk around with the camera. I bend the legs out and use it as a tripod. I wrap the legs around a tree and hang the camera for a time lapse photo set. The tripod is great. My only concerns are that the thumbscrew can become a little tough to loosen if you tighten it aggressively and that the ball joints of the legs can come apart. Its not difficult to pull the ball joints back together but just be careful. It can't be good to have them come apart too much. overall this is the most useful accessory i've purchased for the GoPro. It is so versatile. Read more

This tripod is awesome. As with other small action cam tripods it fits almost anywhere to transport. It is so much more solid than some off brands I've tried before. Not just more sturdy, but way easier to use, easier to adjust and get hung just right in that funny place to catch the perfect video. I hope this thing lasts forever, but if it does not, I'll be buying this exact one again. Read more

I bought this thinking it was a smaller version of the the 1k kit tripod but they are exactly the same size and they carry the exact same weight (2.2 lbs). So I opted to keep this tripod and returned my 1k kit. The reason for keeping this one is the quick release mount, the bubble level and it comes with its own gopro mount (you can never have enough of those) and a standard screw mount. Little tip, when using the standard screw mount always keep a coin with you to tighten it. It can bare the weight of a gopro, mic adapter, case and mic with no problems. It can also hold my Galaxy s9 plus in the otterbox defender case and mic without any problem. I have an entry level dslr, a nikon d3500 and it also supports that which was a nice surprise. Anything bigger and you may want to consider the 3k kit. I've attached a few photos that show the length of the total tripod when closed, the total length of the the legs and max height with the legs extended for reference. All in all this is a great versatile tripod and if you plan on using a gopro, I would recommend this one over the basic 1k kit. Read more
