These were a hit all holiday season/s. Familys continue to stop by to see what will be on display next. It’s truly innovative design, ease of functionality, and light quality is amazing. The value for the money is really only justifiable if you use this beyond the Christmas holidays… which you can, and Should. Its a very robust and sturdy installation with hundreds of community grown animations designed for every holiday, or even design your own. Great purchase. 👍 👍 Read more

I bought the net lights but when looking on the Govee app there wasn’t a ton of customization like these. On prime day I made the splurge and I’m so glad I did! I’m still learning the app to be able to upload my own gifs and make cool things. This light is amazing! It’s literally like a tv hanging with how clear the pictures are! I have it hanging from my pool deck that faces the road. I like it came with a bottom stabilizer bar. I don’t have it secured to anything other than the bottom of the lights and it’s been doing well ( I was worried about it blowing around in the wind.) I’ve only had them for a week but I’m super impressed! Once I get some new creative things designed I’ll upload pics! Price is high but seems like Govee has great customer service (from all the rabbit holes I’ve gone down before purchasing). I’ve heard of issues with syncing more than 1, you can have up to 3 total. I can’t comment on that as I only have one. Came well packaged. Was a pain sorting each string but not too time consuming. Read more

The jump from the first-gen lights is obvious—especially when you see the animations. It’s kind of like going from SD to HD on your phone or TV. The 960 LEDs make everything look smoother, sharper, and more vibrant. Brightness is strong even during the day, and I love that Govee included mounting brackets and tie-downs. It shows they thought about how these will be used outdoors and how wind or weather could mess with the setup. The built-in scenes are a big plus. You can sync the lights to music or set them to slowly shift colors, which looks amazing on the porch. I’ve had fun customizing them through the app, and the AIGC feature actually makes it easy to create cool patterns without needing design skills. For the most part, the lights stay put, but on super windy days, the strings sometimes slip out of the tie-downs. It’s not a big deal, but it’d be better if the ties were a bit more secure or adjustable. Still, the overall build feels solid, and the IP67 waterproofing means I don’t have to worry about rain. Here’s where things get frustrating, though. With the older Curtain 2s, I could link two separate curtains using just one power cord—that made installation cleaner and saved an outlet. But with this new Pro version, each curtain needs its own power cord. That’s a step back, especially if you’re trying to run multiple sets. On top of that, these lights are way more expensive than the older ones. For the price, I expected more flexibility, not less. The wider size means I can’t fit two side by side anymore even though I just purchased 2, and I can’t cut or resize these to match my old setup. So even though the lights themselves are an upgrade in quality, the design and cost kind of make it feel like a downgrade overall. I love how they look, but I can’t help feeling like I lost more than I gained. Read more

The new Govee Curtain Lights Pro is really good, especially if you compare it to the previous version, and it has amazing effects. However, one drawback is that even when stretched, the vertical lines are still crooked/twisted. Some LEDs face backward, others sideways, and others forward, making it look funny and wasting some light. A better design solution would be to make each individual LED strip out of a semi-rigid material that naturally stays straight. Users could then simply plug each strip into the long top source unit so everything aligns perfectly, either all backward or forward-faced, because the light reflection from the wall looks better than direct light. This would eliminate twisting, keep all LEDs perfectly aligned, and make patterns and designs display much cleaner and more professional. It wouldn’t just fix those issues; it could also turn the Curtain Lights Pro into a modular system, where users pay for the base kit once and then expand it with extra strips as needed. That’s something Govee could market as a Pro+ or Modular Curtain edition. Especially if the top source individual connections are 1 inch apart, people would just buy double the amount of strips to make the images clearer. Read more

The media could not be loaded. We love Govee products! Pricey but worth the money. Its an excellent product. Easy to install, app was easy to use. Worked as expected and held up with all the wind we had during the holiday season. We still have them up to use for upcoming holidays and our favorite sports teams. We purchased several other products by govee as well! Great product! Read more

The media could not be loaded. The Govee Curtain Pro lights are the way to go. I will say though, think through where you’re going to put them and how it might look. At first, I was thinking about just putting them outside. Then I thought, OK, I can put them inside and leave the blinds open and they’ll hang down. I pondered this for a while and was like, wait… the blinds have to be open to see them. That’s not good on so many levels. So what I did was — and this honestly took a lot of work — I took down all the blinds. I placed the tracks on the windows, but had to measure and account for the section in the middle between the windows. This took some time. Errors were made. But nothing you couldn’t fix with a Dremel tool to adjust the notches. One of the main reasons I put them on the window is that the blinds behind them basically make a screen, so it reallllly sets them off. I took a bunch of photos of this and also uploaded a video, but wow… this ended up being a great install. Took me like 6 hours to do it all. I’m very pleased with the results, and as I’ve stated in the past, the Govee app is sweet. Takes a while to get to know, but you can do sooooo many things with it. Read more
