Sounds clear with the JBL speakers. Can also do aura cast with other JBL. I love the Govee app. If connected to wifi I can turn on or off at home or away. It serves as a night light for me or as a general lamp. The light is not excessively bright and adjustable for different sorts of ambiance. Connects bluetooth and wifi. Read more

I didn’t expect to like this lamp so much! The colors are gorgeous and super smooth — it instantly gives my room a cozy or party vibe, depending on the mode. The JBL speaker sounds clear and loud enough for chill music or podcasts, though it’s not super bassy. Setup was super easy, and the Govee app is fun to play with — tons of lighting effects! The battery lasts a few hours, which is fine, but I wish it had a handle to move it around more easily. Overall, it’s a really fun and stylish lamp that makes any room feel alive. Totally worth it if you like light shows and ambient sound. Read more

The new Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound by JBL is an absolute masterpiece in smart home design. From the moment I unboxed it, this lamp instantly felt premium — smooth matte finish, modern minimal shape, and seamless integration of JBL-quality audio with Govee’s signature rich RGBIC lighting. The lighting is vivid and incredibly customizable — over 210 LEDs capable of 360° illumination and more than 100 light scenes that react in sync with music in under 32 milliseconds. Whether it’s movie night, meditation, or a late work session, it completely transforms the room’s vibe. Pair it with the Govee Home app, Alexa, or Google Home, and it’s effortless to control with voice or touch. But the showstopper is the built-in 10W JBL speaker — surprisingly powerful, with clean highs and punchy bass that easily fills the room. It sounds far richer than its size suggests. You can even pair two lamps for stereo sound, which turns your living space into a mini immersive lounge setup. It’s portable, rechargeable, and perfect indoors or outside. Between the crisp lighting effects and studio-quality sound, this lamp has become the centerpiece of my home office and nightlife scenes. Govee and JBL nailed this one — functional, futuristic, and completely worth the investment! Read more

Decent sound for a small room (two make a better impression). Very nice for a small apartment or office. The lights are amazing, my favorite is the ambient lighting - it omits a wonderful, soft glow that is relaxing. It was very easy to set up (to me) and we had no problems connecting it to Bluetooth Read more

Yea dont get this. it’s super cool and sounds amazing, but it will literally blare white noise sounds at 100% volume randomly, sometimes in the day but some times in the middle of the night while everyone is sleeping. govee fix your horrible software. this is a ridiculous issue and the fact that the volume down button doesn’t even help is insane, i have to wait almost a minute for your app to launch!!! Slightly disappointed, Govee. You're a generation behind with no Cast/Google Cast support. The only thing you can control with the Google home app is the light itself. Everything else is controlled by the Govee app and it's a simply Bluetooth speaker only... With some fancy light settings. Had I known that I wouldn't have spent the money. And speaking of settings! Some of these settings are beyond me (not a boomer). Some of the automations don't make sense and they're not as clear or precise on how they work or what they do. It almost has too many features for settings that are settings. The music mode at least from my experience, trying it is hard to find in the settings and then almost gave me a seizureb or was so intense. The preset colors are fun, and the speaker looks good but it feels cheap in hand. Also, for those of you wondering, it does not come with a charging base dock or station. This is especially a bummer because I was counting on this speaker to be the front end volume of my surround sound room system and they don't connect to Google home speakers to create a group. Will it hook up to your Bluetooth TV? Yes, because it's Bluetooth. I can't imagine why you'd want to use this for your TV though. Otherwise it's nice that it's rechargeable and portable. You can take it to the kitchen to do dishes or into the bathroom to have a light and music shower party, take It outside to annoy the neighbors with your barbecue music. It does get very very loud very quickly, but the base kind of fizzles out and gets hollow in general. I wish I could say this was a 5 out of 5 like I was hoping but it's just not all there. I could not resist grabbing two of these on Black Friday at $135 a pop with list price being $180. My primary reason for buying two is to pair them for Stereo sound which works perfectly. The JBL speakers sound much better than expected though my musical tastes do not lean to pounding bass. I use the equalizer on my phone's music player to make adjustments and it sounds great. Make note that the user guide suggests keeping the lamp plugged in as opposed to on battery if using in a pair because it requires more juice. Just to be clear, if you are using one lamp, the sound is excellent mono. If paired with a second lamp, it is not double mono, it is true stereo. Setup is simple once you download the Govee app, the lamp will offer to connect to the internet and ask if you wish to update the firmware which of course you do. The light shows are endlessly entertaining both bright and gorgeous. Read more
