I recently bought the Govee Uplighter Floor Lamp, and it has absolutely transformed my living space. I was drawn to it because of the unique RGBIC ripple projector effect—I was looking for something more exciting than a standard lamp. The setup was incredibly easy, taking me only about 15-20 minutes after unboxing. I was immediately impressed with the build quality; it feels solid and well-made, not cheap at all. After connecting it to the Govee Home app, I spent the first evening just scrolling through the different scene modes. I actually shed a tear laughing when I first set it to a calming blue ripple effect while listening to an old emotional song; it created such a perfect, cozy atmosphere. What I love is the Tri-Zone Independent Lighting. I can switch between the beautiful, mesmerizing water ripple effect on my ceiling for movie nights, or use the 1000lm focused task lighting when I'm reading in my armchair. Even my 12-year-old nephew, who's usually glued to a screen, came in, saw the colors, and said it was "super cool" while we were playing games. It truly adds a modern, vibrant, and relaxing vibe to the room. While the price is a bit high, the versatility and unique aesthetic make it completely worth the investment. Very bright, easy to setup. It's an extremely fun light, works as advertised on different ceiling heights. It excels as a regular light/lamp with it's warm and cool whites. Has a nice power button on the pole and I believe a function switch button right below it for a quick change without using the app. If this lamp is on sale and you enjoy lighting even a little, GET IT YOU WON'T REGRET IT! The media could not be loaded. By far the coolest lamp I have ever owned. If only these existed back in my teenage lava lamp days.. (see video for different effects displayed on ceiling) Great quality and extremely easy to set up, far brighter, and with way cooler effects, and color schemes than I imagined it would be. The size is pretty similar to most other stand-up lamps. Obviously a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth it for what you get, especially since you can integrate it into your TV backlight infrastructure via the dreamscape function in the Govee app. I will say that I wish you could pick your own mix and match color schemes when mixing colors instead of just picking a single color that is already into a color scheme for you, and that the app was a bit more instructive on its features. Takes a lot of playing around to figure everything out the first time. I run it with just the uploader top lamp on unless of course, I am doing something besides watching TV in the evenings as the uploader effect is plenty bright on its own even while slightly dimmed. It comes with instructions that will tell you everything you need to know about setting it up. Once you hook it up to the Govee Home app, you can remotely control it through your phone, change the lighting, set it to a timer, etc. It has a wide array of color options for the uplighting portion while the downlighting portion will be more of your standard light bulb hues for reading, working, relaxing, etc. It’s super sturdy and made with good materials, definitely feels quality for the price point. I didn't need this lamp, but I wanted this lamp! I own several Govee products and find the connections and app very easy to use. Setting up this lamp was no different, and the ceiling was full of dreamy color waves in no time. Every year, I set up lots of LED or timer-activated tealights for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, so I knew this lamp would be a great addition. My elderly father lives with me and loves the various light in the evening, and this lamp added a great deal in that respect. My nephew and his kids visited recently, and I played video games with them with this lamp on. Even the 12-year-old boy was impressed and said it was "super cool" while we played. There are three different parts of this lamp, though only two can be on at any given time: the "reading lamp" portion that directs light down, the ambient light around the upper ring, and the center light at the top that projects the wavy lines of light on the ceiling. With the app, there are many options to select and of course different colors for the ambient one and upper wavy one. We have it connected to our Google Assistant, so even my father can turn it on and off with his voice. My only wish is that the upper wavy light had a bit more single color or dual color options. It can be all green, all blue, or all red (along with different shades of white), but I cannot get a red and orange, for example. There are many varieties with green, blue, and red, and if you select a different color, you'll get a secondary color from one of those three. However, that is a minor wish, and I do love the lamp.
