I don't normally write reviews, so I bought this last night and received it this morning, I was hesitant about buying any kind of air purifier from amazon because of the bad reviews I was looking at. I needed one badly, I have it in my bedroom where its the must stuffy, dry and no air flow. I have pets so im not surprised if thats part of the reason of it being stuffy. My room is not big but not closet small, IT HAS BEEN WORKING AMAZINGLY! BETTER THAN I EXPECTED!! Its nice and sleek looking, when first starting the air purifier i expected it to read that the air quality was poor which it was. After a few minutes I felt a difference in the air just because I finally have air circulation, after ONLY AN HOUR it said the air quilt was good. I put it on sleep mode to see how quiet it really was, you don't even hear it. If you end up having in a room like I do, I have it next to my bed then you may want it on a lower setting or sleep mode, if you are like me and typically listen to white nose or have a fan or tv on at night then the highest fan level just sounds like a continuation of white noise. It is compact but it does the job PERFECTLY!!!! If you were or are like me and go through hours of researching between good and bad reviews in every different products there are because you want a good quality product, which I completely understand. DO NOT OVER THINK, JUST BUY! It works amazingly, there is a filter that you can clean the app thag you can also operate it on has a link to where you can purchase new filters and it gives you a percentage one how close you are to needing a new filter. If you regularly clean the air purifier from dust buildup you will make your unit last longer than what the bad comments are saying. Keeping a good Maintained is key on making things last, including being on top of changing/Cleaning the filter. I am very happy with this product and have already felt a difference of the air quality and how light it feels to breath just from being on after a few hours. I noticed a huge difference after an hour but now its like I am finally breathing in freah cleaner, lighter air from before where it was heavy, stuffy, and dry. ( another way i knew it added the air flow i needed was because I have a humidifier for allergies that my husband has, but it was just making it more uncomfortable because I could feel the humidity but there was no air flow and poor air quality.) We were just a couple of miles from the Line Fire in Southern California. The house was filled with smoke smell so quickly to the point I was getting a headache. The AC was pulling it in from outside and it was just getting worse and worse. This came super fast and cleared our 3000 soft home in under 4 hours. It was so quiet I forgot it was on and it’s literally been on for over a month now. My chihuahua stopped wheezing and coughing which he did often in the summer months. We have solar so our back slider basically stays open all day so the dogs can go in and out as they please and the AC stays on. So that’s really saying something that when our little guy comes in he does not have that same coughing and snorting thing he does outside. I never knew an air filter could work this good! Especially with a door wide open. I cant say the same for the fire smell. The only way it would completely clear the air is if all the doors and windows were closed. That being said the AC was still on and pulling in air from the outside. We swapped out the filters for a really heavy duty one but still the smoke smell was coming in. We used this in conjunction with the new filters and it completely disappeared! I mean completely! It’s very light weight and can be moved to any room. The app is great and has some very convenient features. It lets you put it on the auto function or create a schedule to run. I find that very useful especially if you’re having company who hates the smell of all things sea food and you just smoked a glorious salmon that you brought in the house and thoroughly enjoyed! Let me tell you those picky eaters can still smell it! When our picky eater friend came over she was really impressed that there was no residual smell from the food from the night before. I was going to buy a new hood vent for my kitchen since it’s horribly useless but since I bought this …..I haven’t remembered I needed one still because it works that well.
