Hands down 10/10. I have used Grandma’s Spot Remover since my daughter was a baby, 14 years ago. Throughout the years I’ve removed every type of stain possible. Oil, pasta sauce, makeup, sweat stains, marker, pencil, paint. The only type of stain it hasn’t completely removed was permanent marker, but it did lighten it. I’ve used it on all types of fabric except leather. I’ve even used it on carpet. What I love most is that it works on stains that have already settled, even stains that have already been ran through the wash. I’ve tried all sorts of different spot removers in the past (Tide, Shout, Gain, etc) and nothing has come close to Grandma’s. The bottle is on the smaller side but it’s a gel and a little goes a long way. I put a few drops on the stain and spread it out with a toothbrush, and scrub. Let sit about 15 mins and toss it in the washing machine. I’ve also forgotten to wash immediately and let it sit overnight. It will not leave the water mark others do. Read more
This product is easy to use, does not smell bad, and didn't leave any residue on the clothing. However, it also did not release the wrinkles in a chiffon jacket. I was hoping to use it when traveling to a wedding, but it isn't going to do the trick. I'm updating my review. I've since tried the product on cotton, and a cotton/spandex blend. It worked very well! Almost as soon as I sprayed it on the cotton, the wrinkles smoothed out. I gently smoothed the cotton/spandex blend a bit after spraying, and the wrinkles came out. So even though it didn't work for the chiffon, it did work for other materials, so I added another star. Read more
Grandma's secret spot remover is wonderful! I have used this for, I believe 20+ years. I used to quilt and I used them to remove blood from pricking my fingers while quilting. I keep one in my purse and one in my bedroom and another in the laundry area. I apply it to any stains and throw the item in the dirty clothes. It works on the stain and when it is washed you cannot tell where the stain was. In all the years I only had 1 or 2 times it did not completely remove the stain. The price is a little more than other brands, but this item is WELL worth the money. I like the fact that it is toxin free and I don't have to worry about it taking the color out of my clothes. I don't think it haves much of smell as I am usually sensitive to perfume and this has never bothered me. The lid twist to open and close and it never leaks in my purse. Wonderful product. Read more
I was a bit surprised how small the container was for how much you pay. I guess a little goes a long way. I've used it a few times and didn't notice anything special with it. It actually left stains on my clothes without removing the original stain. I used it on my toddlers daily stains and it discolored her shirt leaving bleach like spots all over the shirt. There are definitely other stain removing sprays that are better like spray and wash. It doesn't have no smell that I noticed on it, and it easy to use but definitely not something I will be repurchasing Read more
I have never seen something work so well at getting out any kind of stain. I made the mistake of trying to stop my pitbulls from fighting by putting my hands in between them. I was bitten three times but didnt realize it at the time. I had blood all over my brand new capris and matching top. They sat in my laundry basket for over two weeks until my hands healed. I knew this stuff was great for getting out dirt and sweat stains but didnt hold out much hope for my light colored fabric. Omgoodness! I had a small amount left in a bottle, so I used it very sparingly to make sure I had enough for all of the blood stains which was probably 20 different spots. I just dabbed a spot and rubbed it around with the bottle tip to cover the stain. No scrubbing at all. I immediately washed the garments. No soaking. Every single stain came out except one that I didn't see to use the spot remover on. This stuff really does work! The ONLY stain i've found that this will not work on is dried on acrylic glitter paint. My husband will keep a t shirt until it disappears so he has a lot of set in sweat stains. Yes, this spot remover will even work on those!! These tiny bottles are a miracle potion on stains! Read more
This stuff works much better than any other spot remover I've tried, and it's not even close! I seem to splatter olive oil or salad dressing on my shirt and sometimes my pants, as well as other foods, more than once a week. I have tried most of the common spot/stain removers you find in the grocery store, but virtually none of them seemed to get the food oil and grease spots out. And that was using them as soon as I got home per the directions! After watching YouTube videos on stain remover tests I thought I would give Grandma's a shot. I haven't tested it on a huge variety of stains, but I can say on food spots and stains, the results were incredible. I don't even treat them immediately with Grandma's, I've let the clothes sit for days before applying it. I just use a dedicated clean toothbrush to scrub it in on the affected area for a minute or so, right before I throw it in the next load we wash that week. So far, I've never had any type of food stain that Grandma's did not work on. I figured I would try it on a shirt that had old olive oil spots splattered on it, that had already been washed/dried/worn several times over a period of months. I was blown away when Grandma's even removed those spots! Needless to say, I always keep at least one spare bottle before reordering this spot remover, and it travels with me wherever I go. Read more
