The paper has a good tooth: 110gsm, and the gold-embossed "BUSY BEE" wording & bee image 🐝 are consistent. This looks exactly as shown on the page. My Pilot G7, .5mm pens work well with this paper & do not bleed through. $17 for a notepad is steep, but you pay for the quality of the paper & the design. 🐝 Read more

"All of it lovely/all of it thrilling/I'll never be willing to free (it)/When... you... see... (it)/You won't believe your eyes! You won't believe your eyes." With apologies to Rodgers and Hart, this little writing pad from Graphique truly is worthy of adoration. I have fine stationery and am no stranger to nice things. And maybe it is a little silly to wax lyrical about paper (to those who don't love paper products), but seeing this caused me to gasp and throw my hand over my mouth. My husband thought something was wrong, but no... this is just a stunning little piece of art with its gold-gilded sides, golden ribbon and gold embossing and type. It's playful, refined and a touch romantic. It feels very Sun King and French to me. However you experience it, one thing's for sure: This pad is something special and will add magic to everyday use. I intend it as a type of gratitude journal. If you're a generous soul and could bear to part with it (better idea: Get one for yourself, too!), this would be a stunning gift folded in plain white tissue paper in a plain white box (or for drama, navy blue, black or deep red box and tissue) with a gold cord around it. It's so impressive, it doesn't need anything fancy and once the gift-ee sees it, no one's going to remember how you packed it. In practical terms, the paper is substantial and takes ink well; it almost seems a shame that this is "just" a notepad and not notecards or a journal. Maybe one day... In the meantime, this is affordable luxury. No one would guess it costs less than $20. Treat yourself or someone you love. Read more
