I used to wear boleros like this all the time, but I lost a ton of weight and they were all too big and frumpy looking. So, I donated them all and started my new collection with this one. I’m very pleased with this product. It’s incredibly lightweight, which will be perfect in the hot Florida Summers. However, it’s not at all see-through, which is just what I was looking for. The fabric has a slight wavy texture to it, which gives it some depth without adding a pattern that might clash with other clothes. Even though it’s lightweight, the fabric seems to be a nice quality and the stitching is well done. This piece is great for wearing with sleeveless dresses or tanks when you don’t want your arms to show. It’s also simply nice just for a layering effect which can be slimming. I have a straight boxy torso, so the cropped length is better for me to help with the illusion of some curves. I planned mostly use this in a business casual work setting however, like the model in the sellers pics, it could absolutely be dress down to more casual when paired with jeans. I generally wear a size small and tops and that’s what I ordered for this one. There is plenty of room so I see no reason for anyone to size up unless you have a lot more in the chest area and want a little extra coverage. I am so happy that I ordered this beautiful cropped bolero. As we get older our arms tend to get loose and flabby making it difficult to wear sleeveless apparel. This cute bolero has a cropped fit and front opening design. I ordered an XL and the fit is true to size. It is soft against the skin and lightweight without being clingy for all day comfort. It has a v-neckline and short sleeves that deliver just the right amount of coverage. The length of the hem sits just above my belly button on my 5’4 frame. It beautifully complements and layers over my tank tops, camisoles, sleeveless blouses and dresses. It is very versatile because you can dress it up or down depending on your outfit. It can be worn for casual day activities to the park, museums, shopping or running errands and transition to night outings such as restaurants, movies and concerts.
