Sadly, I didn't take seriously/entirely underestimated the description embedded right in the title of this garment - always a mistake when ordering clothing online...because when they say "slim fit," they're not kidding! While I ordered the right size, I find this garment seems intended to fit almost like a second skin - it's a leotard-like version of form fitting, which in this particular fabric I find a bit to hot and claustrophobic. So unless you're young enough to be Twiggy-thin as a toothpick so that tops like this typically hang off your shoulders as if you're a clothes hanger, I'd encourage you to consider ordering up a size...because a slightly less than skin tight tank top conceals a multitude of imperfections. My wife has been having a lot of hot flashes lately, so she's been wearing tank tops with cardigans or button-down shirts so that she can quickly and easily remove and add layers as needed. She was interested in trying this tank top because it's organic cotton. It's comfortable and appears to be well made, but it is definitely slim-fitting and a bit sheer, so the advice to size up is good unless you want a very slim fit. Read more

This tank top is very expensive for what you get. The shirt is thin and see-through. It's very tight and form-fitting. I get that it's meant to be layered but I was hoping it'd be versatile enough to wear on it's own. But I don't feel comfortable wearing this shirt on its own because of how see-through it is. I like to wear a lot of layers since I’m perpetually cold. Tank tops and undershirts are a staple in my wardrobe, but I didn’t have much for neutral colors. I typically wear a size small, so that’s what I went with. For reference: I’m about 5‘5“, 125 pounds, and average build. Sometimes I size up for fitted tops, but I knew I would be wearing this mostly under other shirts, so I stuck with a small. This definitely is fitted as you can see in the picture. It’s fairly see-through, but I had a camisole underneath, so it wasn’t too bad. I would definitely size up if you want a slightly looser fit. I like that it’s made with organic cotton, and the tag states that 10% of the net profit is used for recycling clothes. I thought that was cool. Despite being thin, the material is soft and it definitely doesn’t feel cheap. The first thing I did (as I do with most of my clothes) was check the stitching, which was on point. I didn’t notice loose strings or anything that would indicate poor quality. The price seems a little steep for what it is, although I would rather pay extra for a better quality product. I do not recall seeing the statement claiming “95% organic cotton” previously…perhaps an example of clever (or deceptive) wording? What I recall reading was “ORGANIC COTTON”. Seems to me a claim of “95%” purity in ANYthing LACKS LOGIC. Simple math indicates a remaining 5% is of questionable origin. Never mind the undershirt is cute, well-fitting, and well-stitched…THIS CONSUMER REMAINS FOCUSED ON A POTENTIALLY DECEPTIVE DESCRIPTION. Further, my experienced hands detect about 50% cotton.
