I use this to hold an iPad Pro 12.9 for my music. The stand is light, sturdy, easy to set up, and almost infinitely adjustable. I have had three other musicians ask me about it and, no surprise, they each bought one. I like that it comes with a zippered case, also. I made an adapter for a sousaphone lyre to hold the iPad clamp. I can use my smaller (and older) iPad for marching. I don't know that I will, but it's nice to know that iPad clamp fits a wide range of iPad sizes. I also made an adapter that clamps into the spring arms and will hold the desk of a wire music stand. One of the other musicians who bought the stand asked if I could make a sheet music holder for him because he plays in pick-up bands where they pass out sheet music and, because the GRIFITI stand is much lighter than a full music stand, he prefers just to use it. (I play in pick-up bands, also, but I just scan the sheet music into my iPad quickly.) He says the stand works great with the sheet music adapter, too. If you're going for electronic music display, I highly recommend this stand for you tablet. Read more

I needed a stand for an iPad Pro to use while I was playing music, frequently outdoors. I was concerned that it would be too light to stay upright when it got windy. (Nope - it's sturdy!!) My friends who use a music stand have to chase papers when a big breeze comes through. This thing stays steady all the way, even with the wind pushing the iPad like a sail. It's pretty remarkable. I was concerned that I'd have to take my case on and off when I was using it. (Nope - the case fits fine in the "mouth". Not all cases may fit, though - I'd have to see how the case is made.) (I have this case and I like it a lot: Apple iPad Pro Case - ProCase Leather Stand Folio Case Cover for 2015 Apple iPad Pro 12.9 inch, with Multiple Viewing angles, auto Sleep/Wake, Document Card Pocket (Red) ) Apple iPad Pro Case - ProCase Leather Stand Folio Case Cover for 2015 Apple iPad Pro 12.9 inch, with Multiple Viewing angles, auto Sleep/Wake, Document Card Pocket (Red) I was concerned that the folding up process would be a problem. (Yep- it's just as tough as many of the other reviews indicate. BUT I just leave it set and carry it around that way and for me, that works just fine.) I was concerned that the legs would be flimsy and not supportive. (Ha. These are serious. I'd be comfortable putting heavier stuff on this stand and up higher. You can get more or less stability by how wide you set the legs.) I am very pleased with this stand and have no qualms about recommending it. Edit: a year later and I’m still loving this thing. I love the case too. Very practical. Read more

I needed a low-cost tripod for shooting 360 photos with my Ricoh Theta S. This was suggested by Amazon, so after a few months of consideration, I decided to try it. This model includes a second box which is the iPad/tablet holder, which I thought might be useful, so I got it for $6 more than the one without. (I'm not sure if the $34 version is even the same tripod; this one may be larger.) I wanted a stand like this rather than a traditional tripod because I wanted the legs to be as low to the ground as possible. With a 360 camera, all angles show up, and a normal tripod (with legs that go up to the top and the large handle sticking out) shows up much more in the images. This one is much better. The tightening knob shows up, and you can see the three legs at the base, but it doesn't have a long handle so that's a plus. The included case is useful, too, and I spent the weekend taking about 500 images with it. My only complaint is how difficult it is to collapse and expand the legs. You have to pull at each leg a bit, circling around until all are pulled out enough to expand them. It definitely does not pop open like my microphone stands or other tripods do, even with the tighening nut fully loosened. Maybe it will loosen up when I have used it awhile, but in case yours is tight like mine, be aware -- don't just pull one leg and try to force them to pop open. It looks easily breakable. The stand is tall enough to get my Ricoh Theta at eye level (just under 6' tall) which works out perfectly. See the attached photo for mine being used at Iowa's Adventureland Park. If the legs opened up easier, I would easily give it 5 stars. The only other thing would be for the tightening knob to be smaller (to get it out of the way for 360 photos) - but I'm not sure there's a solution to that. Read more

This iPad holder music stand should have been on page one of Amazon products!!! I never found it in my Amazon searches, but it is the iPad holder I've been looking for! I found out about it from a fellow musician, only then was able to find it on Amazon when I had the specific name. It's great! It easily holds my iPad in its original Apple protective case, and the holders are flexible, rubbery, and non-slip. The adjustment knobs are all easy to use hand tightening knobs, no tools needed. The stand legs are a bit tight to open, like other reviewers have noted, but will probably loosen up with use and a dot of 3-in-1 oil. The ball holder is easily adjustable to get the perfect angle for IPad viewing while you play. It will also be perfect for Skyping via iPad with family, maybe even reading a book hands-free! The design is low-profile, minimal, just what I was hoping to find! Well-designed and engineered! Love it! Read more

With the height adjustment, sturdiness, light weight (easy to carry around) my wife uses this all day long. She carries it to her bedroom to put at the side of the bed, she brings it to the kitchen when she's cooking, she takes it do the dining room table to show the family something, on the outside deck, etc. Also, it works great for Zoom, Facetime or other video calls since you can quickly move it around for the right distance and set the height and angle as needed. We use it constantly for that too. If you have an iPad or similar product you have to get one. You'll really like it. Read more
