Wouldn’t consider this a replacement for the metal scrub you’re currently using, more of an addition. This is good for a monthly deep clean of the grill. It works well. Get the grill nice and hot and try and use cold water. The baked on carbon residue falls off. In some places I can see the metal shine again, but I can’t seem to replicate that for the entire grill. Coolest thing EVER! I was skeptical that this would work as easily as the description and videos suggested, but I was wrong. I was always skeptical of bristle brushes. But when I saw the recall for them from Weber on Amazon I threw mine in the trash. This steam cleaning brush works great. It’s best to get the grill very hot before using. 500 and above worked for me. This and the ice water holder function well together. Probably very overpriced, but much better than a bristle brush. This is my second brand of brush with this type of design. The steam cleaning really does work better than other methods for cleaning grill grates. This is best used once you are done cooking whole grates are still hot. I have also tried this after letting grill cool then reheating and it is not nearly as effective. Pros: Very sturdy handle with nice length. Cleaning pad is replaceable. Cons: After several uses the cleaning pad is starting to deteriorate and not stick to the Velcro as well on the handle.
