Ulla! Ulla! It is once again time to conjure up the image of the Martian fighting machines from Jeff Wayne's musical version of The War Of The Worlds. This one has long legs and four heads and can grow from 15” to 62” in a matter of seconds. But instead of death rays, this one has beneficial plant grow lights attached. As the days become shorter it was time to get another tall grow light for an 8 platform plant stand with 10 pots on it. We found this one and are very pleased to this point. It features Full Spectrum, professional LEDs to nourish a plant through it's entire life cycle. It promotes “photosynthesis for vibrant flowers, juicy fruits, and lush growth at any season, boost blooms & fruits naturally”. I'll be happy at this point if it would simply help keep them green and growing! We are still on the sharp side of the learning curve, here. There is no assembly but a simple twist of the wrist. It has 4 heads, (lamps) all on goose necks for maximum flexibility, and a tripod base which folds up into a minimum amount of space when not in use. When might the base not be in use? When the pointed nut has replaced the tripod to allow inserting the whole thing directly into a large pot. As I have said before, I don't recommend the light in the pot method unless it is a large pot (12" to 15”). I would hate for someone to stand it up in a pot only to find later that the unit has toppled over taking plant(s) with it. This “warning” is not aimed at this very lightweight model uniquely, but at all in-pot lights. If you are reading this you know that indoor plant soil is not very dense and not particularly heavy due to the other elements beside dirt it contains (vermiculite, perlite, coir, etc.). I have mine set up right in front of the plant stand and it now bathes all of the plants except one that is shielded by a platform directly above it. For that I have a small single plant model. The in-line control unit has several functions to oversee. Power, dimming – 10 settings, 3 timer settings, and single double, triple or all heads on or off. That is the capability and capacity of this actually sharp looking unit. It would be a little better looking if the power cord were not attached at the top of the telescoping pole. But then we would lose the key ability to adjust the height. Having had this light for only 5 days I have grown used to it being next to my desk, but have not yet been able to tell a difference in the plants. If anything untoward occurs I will come back and revisit this review. In the meantime, assuming the best outcome, I am giving this unit 5 Stars for it's design, both aesthetically and practically. In preparation for next year's growing season, my wife wanted to set up a space for our seedlings but light was a concern until now. This grow light is perfect for our seedlings because it offers a decent full spectrum light and has four easily adjustable goose neck lights. The lighting versatility is a plus because you can turn on one, two, three, or all four lights. In addition, the brightness level is adjustable and with the built-in timer you can choose auto on for 8, 12, or 16 hours or simply turn the lights on or off manually. I like the modern aluminum design, the sturdiness, and the functionality of this light. The tripod base and telescoping center can be expanded from 15” up to 62” for placement on a table or floor. The base can also be removed allowing the light to be placed directly into a pot which is a nice feature.
