Excellent Quality and Best Price
I wrote this review myself and then had chatgpt tweak it for grammar and readability. This is not a paid review—I purchased the GTPlayer simulator for full price, around $300, in December 2024. Overall, it was straightforward to assemble in a couple of hours with two people taking their time. While it can be assembled by one person, I recommend having two for convenience. All the parts were included, which was a pleasant surprise. One trick I’ve learned over the years is to not tighten any bolts or screws until it’s fully assembled so that it’s easy to align holes and tubing etc during assembly. The steel tubing used for the frame is impressively heavy-duty. It’s rated for 500 pounds, and it felt solid and stable with my 5’8”, 300-pound frame sitting in it. The seat is big enough, even for my wide load, and sits more than a foot off the floor, so getting in and out shouldn’t be an issue for most people. Installing my Logitech G920 steering wheel, foot pedals, and shifter was a breeze. The holes on the mounting plates lined up perfectly, so no drilling was required. Another unexpected bonus was that the simulator comes with 6 wheels. I had assumed I’d need to buy them separately. The wheels roll smoothly on my thick carpet, though they aren’t quite easy enough for my five-year-old grandson to move the simulator without some effort. On a hardwood floor, it would roll effortlessly. I believe the whole simulator with all the Logitech stuff weighs well over a hundred pounds. The seat is very high quality and slides back and forward for different player heights. With the seat all the way forward and the pedals mounted as far back as possible, my grandson can comfortably reach the pedals. On the other hand, with the seat fully back, it fits me perfectly at 5’8”. I don’t have anyone taller at home to test it, but I imagine it would accommodate taller individuals if you mounted the pedals farther forward. If you buy pedal extenders I think it would be useable for both young kids and tall adults. I haven’t tested the Bluetooth speakers yet, but based on their size, I wouldn’t expect much bass. They’re likely comparable to other small speakers, so don’t expect deep, booming sound. Overall I don’t think you could find a better quality simulator for anywhere near this price and I would highly recommend it. Read more
