It hooks onto the door and is light enough to be able to take off and take straight to the laundry machine. I bought this to keep in a kitchen closet for my daughter’s bibs and the washcloths we use to clean her up after meals. She’s under a year, so things get messy. I’ve noticed the mesh has been harboring an odor now with frequent use, and there’s no way to remove the hook/hanger for laundering the bag. I do love the functionality of this thing - the hole in the top and the zipper work great for my use. It’s also pretty small, which works well for me but might not be what others are looking for.
