About a month ago I got a flat cartilage piercing and I bought this at the piercing shop, I'm on my second can which I bought from Amazon. This has been the best stuff I've ever used. My piercing is healing very well and I've never had a piercing heal this fast or without being irritated long when I used normal saline piercing cleanser. The h2ocean even works great on older piercings that get irritated out of nowhere You just spray it on and wipe it with a Paper towel. I purchased this product after my cartilage piercings had gotten infected. I got 3 cartilage piercings on each ear at Claire's. Now, I did not have an issue with the way they pierced it because it was the store manager that did them on me. However, they said that I could change the earring out within 8 weeks. I switched to different earrings that I had purchased at Claire's that were supposedly Rose Gold plated. Well, a few weeks later I started seeing this blister looking bumps on each one. I took all the earrings out and they were all infected and puss filled (eww). My husband helped pop them and I was ready to just let them heal closed cause of how bad it had gotten. I came to realize that when I took the earrings out they all had tarnished, so I am sure that was what made them get infected since I clean them at least twice a day. After a couple days and the infection looking better I put the original earrings I had when they were pierced back in and went back to using the solution they give you at the store, but then I googled other products I could use to maybe help kick the infection because after two weeks it still wasn't completely gone, the bubbles would come back and keep coming back no matter how much I cleaned them. I then saw this product come up and purchased it after reading the reviews of someone who had similar piercings as me and theirs was healed. After a couple days the bumps were gone. After a whole week I took the earrings out to see how healed the bumps were and my piercing was ten times more healed than it had ever been where I could even make out where the hole was compared to before where I could barely tell where to put the piercing back in. They looked ten times more healthy and the skin was finally back to its normal color. I would spray right on the piercing on the front and back three times a day. I bought a second bottle cause I pretty much overused it hoping it'd make it better. and it did!!! This is hands down the best piercing aftercare I have ever used for any piercing I have gotten. It makes it simple to clean and it doesn't hurt compared to alcohol or anything you might use. No pain and it heals it better and quicker than anything. Read more
This spray is a god send. I got a double conch piercing on my left ear, one conch on the right ear, and a helix. When I first got them thing were healing great until one day they weren't 4 months later. All the course sea salt soaks on the planet were not helping because I wasn't able to clean them properly while at work or on mornings I was running late to work wear a simple shower wash wasn't cutting it. I ended up developing huge bumps on my left double conch and a giant bubble on my helix piercing. I wanted to cry because I was sure they'd become keloid scars and I started debating taking out the earrings I loved so much. As a last effort I started googling what other people did and everyone recommended not just sea salt soaks but making sure it was dead sea salt and mixing it with using this product when you're crunched for time but still need to clean. I ordered a bottle and started carrying it in my purse and made sure to clean as normal in the morning, and then at work I used this twice a day on both ears and then even after work if I went out afterwards. The evil giant bumps took a few weeks but within a few days the itching stopped and within weeks the bumps started to go down. After a month the bumps were gone completely. I ran out of the stuff and sure enough the bumps instantly started coming back. I checked online and read that the cartilage piercings can take up to a year and even fourteen months to heal completely. Knowing that now I ran out to my local piercing store and bought another can of spray, over priced at my local piercer I might say. Before I run out I'm buying multiple cans hear on Amazon in bulk so I can keep them at work, in my purse, and other places. The only down side is the cans are small and run out fast. But upside is because the cans are small you can carry them around in your purse. I would also advise that it's not something you can just randomly do at your desk. So much spray shoots out that it will drip. I think it's good that a lot shoots out because how else would it knock loose the debris of dried lymph if it wasn't a heavy and hard spray. I would highly recommend this to anyone getting piercings, specially if you have a busy schedule like me where soaking your ears at 15 mins each 3 times a day isn't realistically possible.
