I struggled with this because I wanted to love it. Having got them from Amazon Vine was nice because ordinarily I just wouldn't have the money to spend on something like this on myself so when I got the opportunity to try something like that I was excited but I feel like my expectations fell a little short. First off the packaging for them is beautiful. They look fancy they look high-end with how much money was probably spent on that packaging style. They do get points for that but It's not enough to outweigh functionality. I put them in and they felt relatively comfortable. At least sitting up. but I found that because of their touch functionality that anytime I tried to adjust it to feel more comfortable, I was pressing something, I was triggering some kind of action. I would get beeps I would get mode changes. I laid down and even still just being against the pillow and not like actual finger or human touch It was still enough to cause it to trigger the touch response and change stuff and I tried it and it said the noise canceling was on but I really didn't notice anything like it didn't change anything I wasn't even sure if it actually was on. The audio quality is pretty nice though If you listen to music or something through them they do sound really nice. I wouldn't put them up there with like Bose quality but they don't sound like some cheap $20 pair either I don't recall the microphone situation I don't know if they even have them because I hadn't used them in that capacity I do have the sport behind the ear type like this and that does have a microphone that's not very good but I actually hadn't tried that feature on this one yet so not sure. I don't know that I would pay this much for them if I had to buy them. It's one thing if you touch it and it changes modes because you made contact with it and another if it's doing it when you put your head on a pillow that was kind of annoying and I don't know that the functionality of the noise canceling is working all that effectively. My wife decided to pick these Essonio earbuds up because she was tired of losing sleep over my snoring. I’ll admit I was skeptical about whether a pair of earbuds could actually block out a grown man’s snoring, but after seeing her use them for a while now, I’m giving them five stars. The primary reason for the perfect rating is simply that they work as advertised and have restored some peace to our bedroom. She says the noise reduction is incredible and she doesn't hear a peep out of me once she has them in and settled. There is a lot to like about the design and the tech packed into these things. The hybrid filtering and the 8-mic array clearly do the heavy lifting when it comes to cutting out high-frequency noise. She finds them very comfortable to wear all night, even as a side sleeper, which is usually the biggest hurdle with these types of gadgets. The battery life is another major plus since they last through the night without a problem, and the charging case keeps them ready for days on end. It’s a relief for me because it means she isn’t nudging me every hour to roll over. On the downside, these are a bit of an investment for something she only wears in bed. The price point is higher than your standard pair of foam earplugs or cheap Bluetooth buds, so you really have to value your sleep to justify the cost. Also, because they fit so snugly to block out the world, it takes her a minute to get them positioned just right every night. Despite the cost, I think they are a solid value for the money because they actually solved the problem. These earbuds are great for sleeping. They’re small and have a flat shape, so they don’t interfere with side-sleeping, but they also offer good battery life. In my use, they easily last all night. They also offer good active noise cancelling (ANC), as well as good audio quality. The earbuds can be a bit fiddly to get in, because of the flattish shape and the placement of the touch controls. It’s easy enough to put them in and take them out once you get used to it, but I still often touch the touch controls when doing it. Once the earbuds are in, they feel comfortable. The earbuds block noise using a combination of noise-isolating silicone tips and ANC. The result is very impressive for earbuds of this size, especially with the long battery life. I haven’t seen any other ANC earbuds that offer this combination of size and battery life. There are three noise modes, which can be selected using the touch controls. The ANC mode is the most useful, but there’s also a mode with ANC off, leaving only noise isolation, as well as a pass-through mode that allows external sounds to be heard. The audio quality is impressive for sleeping earbuds of this size. It’s better than with any other sleep earbuds I’ve used, and it’s comparable to good non-sleep earbuds. The included charging case is small, and it fits in a pocket without problems. It’s able to charge the earbuds several times, providing more than a week of use for the nightly sleeping. It uses standard USB-C charging, with a cable (but not an AC adapter) included in the package. There’s also a storage case with enough space for the earbuds, a charging cable and an AC adapter, which is good for travelling. The packaging is attractive, and it helps to make these earbuds a good gift. The use of an Italian flag on the packaging is a bit deceptive, given that the manufacturer appears to be Chinese. The only negative with these earbuds is that the price appears to be relatively high, compared with noise-cancelling earbuds from well-known brands. Overall, I’m happy with these earbud, and I can recommend them for sleeping. They also work well for travelling, commuting, etc., but the key strengths relative to other ANC earbuds are the small size and the flat shape, which make them great for sleeping. Read more
