The media could not be loaded. This $21.00 Curling Wand is the junk ya hear me? I had tried my 1 1/3 long barrel and gave me curls but a little too big for my liking, l like tight curls so they last sitting on my mannequin head until I decide to wear it…I pre style all 14 of my wigs and all are ready to take off that mannequin head and throw it on..BAM..Piece of cake…some wigs I haven’t even worn yet 🤷🏾♀️ I tell ya..still ready, only thing I don’t do is melt the lace until it’s that time, 3 minutes and while I’m getting myself ready that band is tied around it, some don’t need it…my preference actually…you’ll see the temperature setting I’m using, don’t need to go higher, heats up in seconds. A very inexpensive wand…funds well spent and you can see top brand products isn’t necessarily a better option, lower priced can give the same results. Here is a video of my tight curls done with this wand…you can choose your own size..Gone and buy one..👍🏾 BTW This a 38 Inch human wig.. Update: Read Instructions to see if it will heat to the max as indicated, will need to change the unit first…while it did change over only to trip my circuit breaker…afraid to try it again idk…since 240 does well, I may just let it be.. This is a fairly standard curling wand and a good buy for the money. Not to be confused with the old trusty curling IRON, a curling wand is a single metal piece, in this case a "1/2-to-1" inch tapered metal wand. It gets very very hot, so use with caution. It gets four stars because of the heat—and not because the iron gets too hot, but because using such hot heat on the hair is simply not a good regular habit to get into. However, this iron did serve the purpose of what I had hoped to achieve, which wasn't exactly curls, but more that look of waves cascading over the shoulders. I understand they are known as "S waves" and "beach waves". Having grown up on the beach, I am a little mystified. Whatever happened to the beach BUN, the OG "do" when you go to the beach? Right? I am pretty sure everyone knows you need your hair OFF of the shoulders and out of the way, and, thus, twisted up on your head inthe OG "Beach Bun". I digress. For my hair, the not-beach wave/S wave has a place, or at least it does the trick if you happen to go through a periodic phase of wanting to look like a country singer, a soap star or your daughter. Whatever the case, we all know that curls and waves come from the same place as rainbows, kittens and ponies. They almost always look kind-of wonderful, and have even been known to make people smile. Just keep in mind that hair irons like this are harsh on the hair and it is important to use some kind of cream, mist or spray commonly known as "heat styling conditioners", "thermal protectors", "heat shields" and "blow out creams" that protect hair against heat treatments. Not certain if they are all that helpful against strong heat, but you are wise put something between your hair and the hot device, and you should! (Just do NOT use Dry Bar products. I will get to that another time! Do try the good ones out there like: Aveda, Olaplex, Moroccan Oil, Kerastase, Quai, Redkin, Oribe or Shu Uemera--anything but Dry Bar-- and look for those heat terms I gave earlier.) As for how hot the tool can get, the answer is "very" and, lo, it comes with a glove for the hand that will be coiling the hair stands around the device and holding the hair in place. And that, my friends, is a civilized touch. Last thing, before you use your hair iron, check out a few instructional videos for how to usse a wand to make the hair "wavey". Meanwhile, I'll try to think of better name for "kinky-fun-hair-wave-just-to-change-things-up-and-make-me-feel-happy". Read more
This curling wand was a first purchase for me. I have never tried one before. It’s easy to use and quick to heat up. It has excellent temperature control and can be adjusted to any temperature you’d like it to curl at. It’s easy to use and comes with a glove, but I haven’t needed to use the glove yet. I’m not in any where are you or danger of burning my hand. The only thing to be careful of is to make sure you put it down on a surface at safer heat. It does take a bit to cool down, so do not put it on anything that could possibly melt because it will. Read more

I have thick coarse hair that frizzes with humidity. This iron was a game changer for me. Heats up quickly and creates curls better than wands with a clamp. I accidentally burned my hand - so use a glove because the iron is hot! 10/10 worth the money. Read more
The only reason I gave this product one star is because I was having such a hard time using it. I just could not get the idea down for the curl to look how I wanted it to look. I got frustrated and sent it back the next day. Read more
