A Dyson is too heavy for it to hold without it tipping so you’ll have to put a weight on the base. Additionally, it does not hold up the blow dryer like it should. However, it is still helpful to have an extra “arm” even if you have to bend uncomfortably to get it to blow dry the correct spots. Read more
Bought this to help with drying and styling my hair while recovering from hand surgeries. It really works great and I will continue to use after my hands are recovered, due to having shoulder issues. Height adjustment and range are perfect. The only thing that could be improved is the velcro straps need to be much longer to be able to achieve a stronger hold. However, my husband used some black electrical tape to secure the hair dryer more firmly for me and it is still easily adjusted. (Using electrical tape instead of other types of tape because it can be easily removed by a snip from scissors and it leaves no sticky residue behind.) Great product and I definitely recommend! I've been experimenting with this for a few weeks and apparently missed the thirty day window to return it. Twenty dollars lost I guess. Maybe they realize it doesn't hold up very well. It was okay at first but quickly stopped holding up my hair dryer which is not unusually heavy. The flexible arm would bend down with its weight once the motor was running and maybe from the vibration. Maybe there is only a thirty day return window because they realize it doesn't last very long. It was also difficult to strap the hair dryer onto it so it would stay put. I purchased this following a surgery, as I couldn't use my arms to hold up my hair dryer for extended periods of time with a blowout, as my hair is waist length. I went to a salon for the first few weeks post-op for them to shampoo and dry my hair. As I started regaining strength and ability to use my arms, I thought this hair dryer stand was the answer to my being able to do blowouts by myself. It was one of the products like this with better reviews so I decided to try it. I had one many years ago that worked about the same as this one That worked okay , but was sort of a pain and spent more time collecting dust and my linen closet than being used. But I hoped these had improved and figured at least worth a shot, considering this one had good ratings. I'm frustrated more than anything that a few days past the 30-day return window (I either did not realize or had forgotten), I cannot return it. And there seems no way to contact the seller otherwise. I don't believe I have purchased anything from Amazon that I couldn't return, and I love Amazon and frequently purchase from them. Disappointing on top of the product itself not living up to expectation. At least I'm only out $20. Read more
Needs to be taller and heavier at the bottom so it won’t keep leaning over it has potential, but it needs a little more working on Read more
After surgery to my left hand, this stand was very useful. I was able to dry my hair with the other hand. The base does need anchoring, but that’s not an issue to put something heavy on it. Customer support was excellent with a few questions I had. Read more
This thing has saved my arms! I have curly/wavy hair and diffuse dry every time which takes what feels like an eternity. This stand allows me to keep moving and doing other things rather than tying up my hands and tiring out my arms. Super easy to use, it takes a try or two to figure out the balance for the weight of your hair dryer - use the strap!! - but I’ve had mine for months now and never had any issues with it losing balance if it’s on a solid surface and not tipped too far forward. Stores away nice and compact, does the job it’s designed for. Would recommend. Read more
Jan 10, 2023. I read a lot of reviews of many different hair dryer stands, both positive and negative reviews. I chose this one and I am quite pleased with it thus far. I particularly appreciate the two velcro straps that help to secure the hair dryer in place on the clamp. The only negative and why I gave it four stars instead of five is that the clamp does feel like cheap plastic, so I handled it gently. The clamp does fit around my hair dryer just fine, but it is definitely the first thing that might break. The stand is sturdy. The base could be a little heavier, but it works fine as long as I don't bend the flexible top of the pole over too far, which I don't need to. I had a little trouble screwing the pole into the base at first but then figured it out and it tightened right up so it feels solid. I like the telescoping pole. That tightened up fine as well.( If that ever fails there is always duct tape! ) When using it, I place the stand on my bathroom counter and stand under it to dry my hair- works perfectly for me. Very pleased. If I have anything negative to add to this review in the weeks/months ahead I will update it. Read more
