My husband and I both tried this. As we enter our 30s our hair has been thinning. I tried this for 30 days to really give it a chance to make a difference and IT DID. I've already purchased my second bottle. It took about a week to see a change (we also used a micro needle stamp to help increase results but it's not necessary). No harsh smells. Not too oily. I've ordered and used this brand for over a year, it worked great. All of a sudden a bottle came with a spray top instead of a dropper and the liquid inside was completely different. The instructions still said to use 1ml from dropper 2x a day, but now, no way to measure 1ml and the liquid goes everywhere instead on your roots, add to that the change in color, smell and consistency (it's very thin) of the liquid and I got scared something was wrong and returned it.
