Several years ago I used to use the Maxius flat iron with the little pins on one side of the iron. It worked well enough until it started sparking and smoking after 1 year of use. They weren’t cheap back then but I bought another one. A year and a half later same thing happened. I played around with blow dryer brushes, bought an Asavea straightening brush which I’ve had for 10 years. Not quite straightening but good enough. I bought this flat iron because it had teeth on both plates. Early bday gift to myself, lol! For $20 why not? Today was 1st day using it. I set it at 350. Heated up fast and proceeded. I sectioned off my hair and all it took was 2 passes to get it pin straight. Now I have hard to straighten frizzy, fine curly hair, and it’s med. thick. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get my unruly hair straight. It shaved off some style time, gets close to the roots (so no weird bumps), not heavy or awkward to use. And even though it gets hair straight it’s not flat. Since I don’t have a lot of hair that’s a plus. In all fairness I’ve only used this iron once. I need to play around with it more but color me impressed. It comes with 2 styling clips and has a Velcro strap to keep your cord stay neat when stored. Clear, concise directions - please read them, you won’t go wrong. I’ll update if this attractive baby (it is not cheap looking) conks out on me. I just really hope it doesn’t because I love it. My hair is thick and frizzy. This straightener works great, and straightens my hair. It has a good choice of heat settings, but it does get hot enough to burn. Read more

I love it! It's nice for my hair and my hair is on the thicker side. I like that it has an automatic shut off. I also like that I can lock it on the setting that I want to use so I don't accidentally hit the buttons while I'm using it. It heats up and cools down quickly. Read more

I’d been looking for a flat iron with this design for a long time as it’s the most effective on my fine wavy hair texture and the model I owned previously broke and was discontinued. The JINRI 3-in-1 has been working great, is priced well, and I love how it even came with a couple of clips to assist in the straightening process. I plan to order a backup so that when this tool inevitably stops working I’ll be good to go with a replacement. I don’t want to spend another 5 years in search of this perfect (for me) design. All that said, I don’t find it particularly useful for curling. Great for flattening! Read more
