Purchased a large. I'm 5'1 and usually wear a size 12. I like swim skirts instead of bikini bottoms but hate that most are too long or made with too much material. They're cute while you're dry but once you get in the water, they float up and then weigh you down when you get out. This skirt is perfect! Just a little more coverage than bikini bottoms but fitted and comfy. The ruffle at the bottom hits at a great spot on the hips, to help distract from problem areas. It has a second layer of fabric on the inside (for better coverage when wet) that helps you feel like you're being held in without the discomfort of a true tummy control skirt. I've purchased other swim skirts that are too fitted (for tummy control), and I'm miserable while wearing them. I put this on and couldn't wait to hit the pool. It is exactly as it's shown online and the turquoise is true in color as well -- and so pretty in the sun! The solid color gives me lots of pairing options with other tops I have or am purchasing. I loveeeee this bikini skirt so much! Its sooo much cuter than I thought it was gonna be! Also the fact that its rouched helps you make it either long or short so its super helpful if you wanna be modest one second and less modest another lol. The material is buttery and a quality I really appreciate is that both the outside and inside of the skirt are the same color (most I have seen on here are white on the other side) so it makes it still cute when it flips up in the water or while you walk! The only downside and its very minor is that the butt coverage is quite large so if you have the skirt hiked up a bit in the back your whole butt looks a bit diapery- which who knows may be a quality some of you want!! so could be good!
