I use this cap for running in biking in the Chicago winter. So far this season, it has been used in temperatures between 15 and 35 degrees F. It is comfortably snug, thin, breathable and very warm. It fits nicely under a bike helmet as well. It has completely fit the bill as workout head gear. It has a bit of a neoprene-like feel (this is not a criticism, it is a description). It covers my ears, which is crucial for the cold temps. Finally, it has a thin rubber strip on the interior forehead that is designed to block sweat from dripping into your eyes. I confess that while I sweat (profusely in the warm months), when it is 20 degrees outside I do not drip enough sweat to comment on the efficacy of this strip. As a side benefit, though, this strip is thankfully not noticeable (in terms of feel/comfort) but aids in keeping the cap stabilized on my noggin. Read more

This is pretty great and it keeps my ears warm while running in moderately cold weather. However, it's not super comfortable with my glasses on. It curves down towards the ear covers and that pushes my glasses down. Read more

For being so thin, this cap is surprisingly warm. That coupled with the heat you naturally generate from cycling makes this cap suitable for some pretty low temperatures. I rode with it in 20 degree weather this winter and felt fine. Wear it when it's 40 degrees and you'll start to get sweaty. Good piece of gear. Other reviewers have commented that it's too tight. FWIW, I have a medium-large size noggin and it fits fine. A little tight, maybe, but I think that's how it's supposed to be. No complaints. Read more

This is a great skull cap i had been using this for my hiking on the mountains it works great,it not only protects you from cold weather but also blocks the sweat from flowing on to your eyes,I love this cap and would highly recommend this to any one looking to have a skull cap,i am yet to use it with my Biking helmets,I am pretty sure it would work good on that either Read more

This cap is okay. It fits good, but when you take it off, the yellow sweat band underneath on the front leaves a line on my forehead. I tried to pull it off, but it may be glued or sewn on very tight. I would only wear it outside in very cold weather. I think some people, like bike or motorcycle riders would like it. Read more

I bought this for my bike commute as temperatures start to drop. Previously I'd used a wool cap under my helmet, but the helmet fit poorly and I always wound up sweaty. This is the perfect mix of breathable and warm (for me, in the 20F-30F range). After an hour commute, I was not sweaty, hot or cold, but simply comfortable. If I find it doesn't hold up as the temperature drops more, I'll update this review, but right now I suspect it will be good down to ~10F. Read more

Only used this once so far since it's been warm (and wet) so far this 'winter' in Seattle. When I did use it though I really liked the flaps coming down over my ears. Can't say my head feels too cold with the normal Halo skull cap, but I really like the ear flaps, it was just enough something extra to be that much more comfortable Read more
