I cannot find any cons to this food processor. It slams right through the hazelnuts I roast myself and use in making homemade keto sugar-free "nutella" chocolate hazelnut spread. It is easy to put together. The buttons are self explanatory. The machine is designed for safety and efficiency. It will not work if you forget to install one of the safety components. But after you figure out what you left off, and put it in its place, you will be happy with this food processor. I have not yet tried the shredding blade but the S blade certainly works well. The motor is able to power through the hardest nuts I was able to find; made a pumpkin pie filling in seconds; pie crust is a BREEZE! Just be sure the container is dry when you add your flour to it. I have no issues with the noise of the motor. It IS a motor! Would you sacrifice efficiency for a quiet chainsaw? I think not. And I'm not saying it sounds like a chainsaw. Just think about who's trying to take a nap before you turn this baby on. It's a workhorse, so don't tell it to be quiet. Read more

I absolutely love that you do not have to line any arrows up, or make sure tabs are sitting properly. You put it on top of the base like a blender, and snap the lid on. It's actually not as noisy as some can be/are. The only thing I miss is having an adjustable height on the slicing blade. Outside of that, our home loves the Hamilton Beach Stack & Snap Food Processor and highly recommend it! Especially for the price when we got it! (Around $45.00) Some other nice features. It's not huge, and isn't heavy like older ones were and the quality is noticeable between it and "cheap" food choppers. Read more

I just recieved this morning. I washed it and put it to use. My last food processor I bought in the early 90's by another manufacturer. It was great but not as economical as this one. I have a crock pot and a 40 year old toaster oven (I just donated it because I recieved a new one as a gift) by Hamilton Beach that I have had for many years and it works perfectly. No bells and whistles but a work horse. I chopped my first onion so far so good. Food prep will be much easier now. I have been without for months then decided to order this. Im glad I did. I will update after a few months of use. I specifically like snap on feature. Read more

This is an excellent food processor for the money, but as they say, you get what you paid for. It grates, slices, chops food, and blends food from fresh veggies. This thing does exactly what it's supposed to do! I even use it to make brown sugar from white sugar and molasses. It does tend to get stuff stuck up in the lid, but that issue is survivable. Every task in the manual works, but DON'T DROP THE BOWL OR LID ON TO THE FLOOR. This appliance was 100% perfect until the lid parts or the bowl is broken and safety features will not let you use it until the broken part is replaced. The bowl and every part of the lid is made of that clear breaky plastic that cracks, chips, or shatters when dropped on the floor. This plastic is used in dozens of inexpensive countertop appliances nowadays. It's plastic; not glass so you're safe. It won't break, right? And it has safety features so that it won't work if you cannot get the lid snapped on and if the shoot isn't in place it won't run. However, if you drop the bowl and lid and just crack or chip it so that it can't be locked down or the shoot can't be put in place, you aren't going to enjoy any of the features. For breaking it, your punishment is to search the Hamilton Beach website, use your model number, and find a replacement part you need. This process may be so frustrating that you will cry. When you DO find the model number and part number, you will cry again! Just the bowl costs $33.99, add shipping, so you'll cry in frustration some more! However, when it's not broken, this thing works GREAT! It does everything it's supposed to and does it well! I have turned berries and fruit into a strainable mush (to remove seeds to make the BEST jam! Just remember; when you are washing the bowl, lid, and parts, just don't drop them, none of them. An excellent product for the price. Prior to this device we had a very small “chopper” that did the job. But was small, had too many parts, and was use and clean. After getting this we had to say; “ why did we wait so long? It makes short work of potatoes, cabbage, really most vegetables. The only thing it won’t do, that more expensive food processors do, is kneed bread. It cleans up quickly. And is safe and easy to use. Highly recommended! Read more

I absolutely love my new food processor. The stack and snap feature is so easy and it chops my veggies perfectly for when I make soup and purées just as well. The only thing is that the plastic containers used for mixing is very light and seems to be made cheap. I am very cautious not to accidentally bang it or drop it or I know it will be done! Read more
