In my opinion, an average soap cleanser which makes claims which are not easy to assess at home. It requires water to use as it describes on the label (Hand and Body Wash). Getting the pump to work required screwing it on and turning the top with some force to get it to pop up. Then it took several pushes of the pump to dispense. I can see how some reviewers had problems with this. It contains one active ingredient, Benzalkonium Chloride (BAC) and about 19 inactive ingredients which apparently include botanical and herbal extracts. The value of these inactive ingredients for skin care is difficult to assess since concentrations are not listed. I suggest you search BAC anti-microbial cleanser in your search engine if you want to assess the environmental impacts and potential effects on your body. You are paying a big premium price over other anti-microbial hand cleansers. As a defense against Covid-19 virus the CDC recommends using simple hand soap and washing for 20 seconds as well an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol (also referred to as ethanol or ethyl alcohol). If these products dry your hands and leave them chaffing a small amount of hand cream works wonders. I wouldn't recommend this expensive product if Covid-19 prevention is your sole intent. As a hand cleanser it works fine. As a skin care product I don't find it better than lower priced cleansers. It requires water for cleaning like any soap. It doesn't give off many suds unless you use a lot of the cleanser. It doesn't have much of an odor. It does leave my hands feeling clean like any soap. It doesn't leave my hands feeling dry and chaffed, even after several uses a day. You get a fancy looking bottle and once the pump starts working, a very steady platform for dispensing cleanser. As a Hand Sanitizer: Active Ingredient: Benzalkonlum Chloride - antiseptic to reduce 99.9% of bacteria. The FDA has stated that benzalkonium chloride is eligible as an alternative for use in the formulation of healthcare personnel hand rubs. Many other hand sanitizers tend to smell like liquor sometimes because they contain alcohol. . Not this one. This one leaves my hands feeling fresh and clean. No stickiness. As a hand wash: This is a wonderful moisturizing hand cleanser. The pump works as it should but you may find you can get away with just half a pump. The sudsing is very adequate. I'm taking away a star because it's not more special than other Benzalkonlum Chloride hand sanitizers. I pretty much only use Benzalkonlum Chloride hand sanitizers because they don't burn little cuts on hands, and they are all pretty commensurate in quality. I didn't find this product to be superior to any other. Also, I don't know if the claims of it being an anti-fungal for topical use are accurate.
