Not sure what the others did that are having the leaks. I used 2-3 loops of thread tape that was included on the male threads, ensured that the compression fittings were seated properly, and am having wonderful results. Directions recommend keeping the valve on the adapter in the off position when not in use, so we just flip it to the off position after a good spray, then release the pressure in the line with a quick press of the sprayer into the toilet after each use. I purchased two of these last year. The install was easy with a few occasional drops of water for the first 4-5 weeks from both units. I couldn't figure out if it was something I was doing or if I had a loose connection because it was so infrequent. Into about the 3rd month of use I noticed more and more drops from both units. So I shut off the water, resealed and tightened everything back. Still the drops persisted and were increasing. Once the leaks started increasing I could see where the leak was coming from. The water was seeping out of the valve body near the actuator on both units (circled in my review picture). This seems to be a typical problem these have and I had to completely replace one unit because it was leaking onto a wooden surface. It looks like they have possibly started using a different valve based on the description pictures. Use caution and your own judgement when purchasing this one. Read more
