These work as expected. They don't appear to have a child lock, which is a plus for me but folks with children should beware. The trigger can be difficult to compress, but not an issue if you have decently-strong fingers. I like that once it is on, the torch keeps a steady flame and you don't have to keep re-squeezing the trigger- just hold it down. Like some others have mentioned, I was surprised to find that these arrived with fuel in the reservoir. At first, I was happy, thinking I had got some extra value for the dollar. Then we tried using them. As others have mentioned, it's difficult actuating the lighter. My wife has small hands and has a lot of difficulty clicking. And then once you click it ... nothing. No flame. One of the pack worked at first. So I just wrote off the others as defective but figured, hey, they were cheap and at least I had one that worked. Until that one stopped working, too, almost immediately. Being a bit of a DIY guy, I tried taking one of them apart to repair it. I was appalled at the build quality and decided it was better (and probably safer!) to just throw them away and buy higher-quality lighters the next time. I guess you DO get what you pay for. Shame on me for being lured in by the low prices. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Read more
These work well. The trigger pull is a little stiff and hard to pull back, but not too bad. It offers a level of kid resistance, but parents and caregivers beware there is no interlock or safety switch as you find on some of the more popular similar lighters you see in the store. I have not had to refill these yet but if that is a problem I will report back. Read more
