Ah, the comfort of a really good sweatshirt. Beautiful steely blue-gray color, and soft fabric. Just now got it, can’t wait to wear it! Update: I washed and dried my new sweatshirt on hot. The 80/20 cotton/poly blend didn’t shrink; perfect! I generally wear a ‘medium’ or ‘large’ but I ordered this sweatshirt in 2XL, because I wanted it to be easy to throw on without feeling constricted, be roomy, and feel like a warm ‘hug’ …which it does. I customized the neckline, reducing the trim at the neckline by half (stitching it under) for a flattering ‘boatneck’ and did the same with the hem. Basically elevating a $10 deal into an ‘upscale casual’ garment (like you’d find in an expensive ‘yoga’ clothing store), with a more ‘boxy’ fit rather from a regular sweatshirt. Also, my arms are long-ish, and I like ‘long sleeves’ to actually be long enough to go a bit past my wrists. Hanes sizing does that! I’m ‘allergic’ to synthetic fibers, but this Hanes 80/20 blend doesn’t bother me, and hurrah it also doesn’t shrink, and doesn’t seem to ‘pill’ either. The ‘fleece-like’ inside of this garment is soft on bare skin. In my experience, know that the sizing on this Hanes sweatshirt is true to size, without shrinkage in washing or drying. I’m having a love affair with Hanes sweats at the moment, so I bought the natural sweatshirt and sweats and I’m living out my fantasies of being a TikTok influencer who only wears neutral shades and lives in a cavernous house that looks like it was staged by a realtor. I’m having fun over here. These sweats are fantastic, such a great value, they feel really thick and cozy. My ONLY gripe is that they give off So Much Fluff. Wore this guy without washing him first and my armpits with filled with creak colored fluff balls after a few hours. Wore the sweatpants and left cream fluff balls all over my (not greige) apartment. The same happens with the black Hanes sweats I got, even after multiple washes. It’s worth it to me, I will likely buy more, I will recommend them to others, they’re wonderful and thick and luxurious and the price is unbeatable, but I know the fluff situation is going to drive some people up the wall, so it needs to be mentioned. (Also I buy them oversized, so definitely don’t go off my sizing for a flattering fit. I like them enormous.) Read more

I liked the wearability factor so much that I kept both for Xmas shopping. Nice quality, medium weight, cotton blend material gives good warmth and the neutral shade pairs well with most colors. I bought XL (155 lbs./5'5") and it fit well. The neck is wide enough for large heads but the sleeves seemed a bit long so I folded up a cuff length for better fit. The sweater was delivered quickly, but was not 100% cotton as noted in the description. I ordered the urban lilac in size medium, it fits how I would expect a small or maybe even extra small to fit. For reference I am 5’6” 135 lbs and usually wear a small or medium, but I would need an extra large in this sizing. The neck opening is only 5 inches and the length it is very short/cropped. I haven’t even washed it yet, so I can’t imagine how small it will be once washed. Definitely returning! Read more

Great color and it is very soft and comfy. It did shrink a lot when washed. I went from having to roll the sleeves when I tried it on to them being just right after washing/drying. If you are going to press a transfer on this be sure to wash and dry first! Read more

I love how this sweatshirt looks and fits - but the description is wrong: It's 80% cotton and 20% polyester, and not 100% cotton as it's described. I ordered both the Lilac and the White and neither are 100% cotton. I personally like the bat wing-styled sleeves as it gives it a different look from a unisex bland sweatshirt. The lilac color is attractive, and it's truly a good value for the money. It washes and dries (by machine) nicely without shrinkage (I did hang it to dry while still a little damp). Washing helps plump up the luscious fleece lining which makes it warm on the skin. I like that it's lightweight yet warm, making it a great item to pack along on trips. Read more
