im 5'2 135-140lbs 6-8 in jeans, size med. normally and purchased sz med in these. first time/day trying period underwear of any kind but as of now, I would buy these again. Even if i dont ditch the tamps completely having a pair of these to keep stashed in the car/locker/purse etc for an emergency could really come in clutch and is therefore worth the buy material feels like typical hanes cotton fabric. waistband is comfortable and stretchy. they are high waisted, just as pictured, but i personally roll them down to more of my prefered bikini style and even rolled a few times they're still very comfortable on the stomach/hips/waist. the leg holes fit securely enough to not be worried about leaks but stretchy enough to not be tight. i see what ppl are saying about the seam across the butt being rough, however ive been sitting in bed all day and it hasn't bothered me too bad. most importantly they did the job intended while keeping everything feeling clean and dry for about 10 hours on day 2 of my cycle Read more

The size was not something I paid attention to after I had bought the product. Although I had to return it, I can still comment on the Hanes Women's Period Briefs. They are leakproof, the colors are varied, the material is soft, and the shape retention is present even after washing. The size is mostly on point; however, after I purchased the Hanes product, I realized I was confused about the product size and had to send it back. The material is a little stretchy, at least that is my opinion. The material is comfortable to wear. I do understand the period briefs are a little pricy, especially as a plus-size woman, but I can say that I have purchased the brand with the correct size three other times, and it's worth the money. Prior to purchasing Hane's, I went the cheaper route, and I bought from a brand that was supposed to be rated very well; however, those period panties leaked through, and that is the last thing any woman wants, especially when she is on her menstrual cycle. I think these are great! Although i think they lose absorbency after a few uses/ washes? One pair used to last me one work day, and now it’s soaking through after about 4 hours. Which is still a good amount of time, it’s just definitely less than the first few wears. I’ve purchased some more, and they are cheap and work as intended. For my flow, i think the front and back of the gusset are a good size, the back seam does show through a little bit with tight pants, but i’m not that worried about it. They are very comfortable to wear Read more

Fit & Comfort: These briefs feel soft and secure, with a high-rise design that gives full coverage. The waistband doesn’t dig in, and the fabric is breathable enough for all-day wear. Absorbency & Protection: The “Super Leak” design really delivers—whether for heavy postpartum flow or overnight period protection, they hold up without leaks. They’re especially reassuring during those first few weeks after childbirth or on heavy cycle days. Style & Practicality: They’re not flashy, but they’re discreet and practical. The black color hides stains well, and the cut is supportive without feeling bulky. Care & Durability: Easy to wash and reuse, though they take a little longer to dry compared to regular underwear. After several washes, they still hold their shape and absorbency. Pros: Reliable leak protection Comfortable fit with full coverage Affordable 3-pack value Cons: Slightly bulkier than everyday underwear Limited color/style options Read more

Comfortable, but they fit a little odd at the waist band. Fair warning, not the best for heavy days/periods. I sometimes easily leek into the non-lined area risking bleeding onto my clothes or sheets. Best for light periods or to wear with a cup or tampon for extra protection. Read more

I was genuinely skeptical the first time I heard of period underwear. However, I have PCOS, and my flow is super heavy. I decided to try these out and they are LIFE CHANGING. Gone is the bulky feeling of pads, and you can feel secure wearing these during an 8 hour shift at work. I’ve slept in them with no issues as well. The seams are strong and they absorb every ounce of moisture, keeping you feeling dry. They absorb any odors as well- it’s like you’re not even on your period. They’re simple to clean and reuse- overall a wonderful product. If you’re skeptical, try them. I loved them so much I bought a second pack. I’ll be back for a third. Read more

First time trying period underwear. I haven’t had my period for six years and I didn’t want to go through the fuss of trying to find appropriate fitting sanitary napkins that just end up scrunching up. These have so much coverage up the front and back and they fit and look like my regular underwear. They do not hold a smell and wash easily. Although I could feel where the seam line stops in the back for the padding. It was more so an annoying feeling than uncomfortable. Holds a good amount of liquid. Doesn’t leak through the other side. I will buy more Read more

I think these are comfortable and good as a backup, or as a light flow or spotting day. I know its for heavy absorbency, however, don't feel comfortable wearing it alone for a heavy flow. I did try it for a medium flow and it did leak a bit in the front. So light flows or sporting is ideal. Or you can wear a pad or tampon and use the underwear as backup. Yes, the seam on the butt is oddly placed, and it will show through tighter, spandex or polyester type clothing.however, the underwear is comfortable and I barely feel the seam after a while.
