I originally wanted a radio that can work even if the power goes out like in a storm. I loved the idea that it had backup battery power but in actuality the battery will support the memory. If the power goes out the clock radio will also stop working. When the power comes back on the battery power returns the memory of the clock to your preset radio stations. I wish I knew that before I threw out the box. Read more

For this price of this alarm clock, you cannot beat it! This is a perfect little clock radio for our boys to have in their room. We got it so that our boys could start getting themselves up in the morning. It works perfectly for this and the radio with sleep timer allows them to listen to music while falling asleep at night without us needing to go up to their room to turn off the radio later in the night. We do not allow them to keep a cell phone in their room at night so this helped us create an environment where they could be responsible for their morning routine without the use of a cell phone.
