Great value vest since it's fully adjustable, all weights can be removed. I got the 12lb version and with my scale I was able to find a combination of weights that equals 5 pounds, while being balanced from front to back. The absolute minimum is about 2 lb if you just use two of the front weights. But I'm starting with 5, and from memory I can work my way up to around 6, 7, 8, or 9 give or take by using different combinations of weights. There are four front weights (the long skinny ones), two on top two on bottom. The top two weigh a bit more than the bottom two. Then there are two back weights (U-shaped), where the top weight also weighs more. The corresponding pockets will be larger for the heavier versions of each weight, not hard to figure out. Comfort is fine so far. I'm a little bigger than the size guide recommends for 12lb and there's still some room to adjust it bigger, I don't foresee any issues with using it daily. Also I did not detect any lead on the weights with my fluorospec test, so it's nice to not have to worry about that. Read more

I love this. I use it when walking on a treadmill. Feels like good quality,straps are pretty good and strong. I have been using it for about a month or a little longer and seen no rips or tears. This is my go-to weighted vest. It’s 12 pounds and I put it on first thing in the morning while I’m cleaning the house, feeding my animals, and doing farm chores. I love this weighted vest! It’s such a great reminder to keep my shoulders down and my posture straight. It actually works much better for that than any posture correctors that I’ve tried. It’s very comfortable and it’s wonderful to add a bit of resistance to your work out or even just daily chores. This is a great addition to doing something like stairs. You can modify the weights to your desire, and they should be removed before washing. As a perk it comes with an arm band for your wallet and phone, which was a thoughtful freebie.
