After using it for a few weeks, the shave quality absolutely lives up to the hype. The blades are sharp, smooth, and stay consistent longer than most razors I’ve used. Even against brands like Fusion5 or Hydro5, Harry’s gives a close shave with almost no tugging, and it handles sensitive areas without irritation. Where it falls a bit short is the handle. The indigo blue design looks clean, but it feels lighter and cheaper than I expected. I found myself wishing it had more weight and a more premium build to match the blade performance. Compared to heavier handles from Gillette or Schick, this one doesn’t feel as substantial in the hand. It still works, but it doesn’t give that solid, confident grip I like during a shave. Blade performance, though, is excellent. The German-engineered cartridge cuts cleanly and doesn’t clog easily. A quick rinse and it’s ready for the next pass. I barely have to go over the same area twice, and the smoothness after shaving is noticeably better than what I get from Bic or Dollar Shave Club razors. Even when I used a different shave gel, the results stayed consistent. Packaging is simple and tidy—nothing excessive, nothing cheap-looking, just a clean presentation that actually makes it a good small gift option. It has that practical, straightforward feel that Harry’s is known for. Even with the lighter handle, I still rated it five stars because the shave itself is outstanding. If you want a razor that competes with the major brands in blade quality while keeping things simple and affordable, Harry’s is a strong choice. A friend recommended Harry’s to me so I ordered a razor and a five count refill. In the last two months I’ve only used two blades and they provide a smooth clean and extremely close shave. They shaved better than some of the more popular national brands which are much more expensive. The blades are easy to switch out and are extremely sharp. Harry’s razors are sharp, have a nice heft when affixed to the handle, and don’t dull very quickly. I opted for this recent chrome handle, but have had the orange one in my bathroom since before the pandemic. The blades are super easy to exchange out, but I don’t have the chance to swap them out very frequently as they tend to last me for quite some time. I’ve been using Gillette products my entire life to shave my face and/or line up my beard. The past few years I’ve had to join the bald community and continued with Gillette razors.
