I spent in inordinate amount of time looking for the perfect coffee mug. I purchased and returned more mugs than I care to admit .... but the search was important because my morning java sets the stage for the rest of the day. The mug needed to be comfortable to hold, not too weighty, not ginormous, not easily chipped or dainty feeling, nice to look at, easy to store and not ridiculously over priced. Absolutely perfect ! The main issue I had when researching new coffee mugs was the handle. Although the angel wing style is pretty, I personally did not find it to be functional for my hand size. The quality of the mug is as described to the letter. The volume the color, the ability to keep the coffee warmer for an extended time are all true. These are gorgeous ceramic mugs! The handle is comfy and the weight of the mug is substantial yet not bulky, it feels very durable. The glaze is smooth and glossy, and feels pleasant to drink from. It is a nice size, big enough to be able to pour a decent amount of whatever and still have room for creamer, whip cream, marshmallows, etc…. It is ceramic of course, so the mug feels uncomfortably hot to the touch (as expected) on the sides and bottom when you first pour your tea/coffee, so the first few sips are HOT, (take care and make sure to use a coaster if you are concerned for the surface underneath), the handle remained cool to the touch. The heat retention was pretty good. I tried rewarming my coffee in the microwave since other reviews mentioned doing so with no problems, I was pleasantly surprised that the handle remained cool, just as others have said. Even though the item description says the mug is dishwasher safe, I will always hand wash mine, to prevent any cracking in the glaze. You really shouldn’t put porcelain/ceramic items through the dishwasher. I am very pleased with my purchase and have a new favorite mug (x4)! Read more

They are nice coffee mugs that match my new dishes pretty well. However, as a tea drinker, who likes 14oz of water, these would be 5 star, if they held 16oz. Overall, I am very pleased with the handle (large enough for 3 fingers), the style, color, and value for the money. Read more

I was not disappointed when I received these coffee mugs. The pics in the advertisement are true to color. The mugs are slightly bigger than standard size. I like the broad base as it is more stable and doesn't spill as easy as I like to drink coffee while sitting at my desk. The only negative is that I sweeten my coffee with maple syrup and I now have to measure because I can't eyeball how much I have pre-poured into the cup due to the darker glaze on the inside of the cup. The positive of that is that it won't have an obvious brown stain over time and daily use. Love these cups, planning to buy 4 more. Read more
