It works great weve had my son abusing it for almost three months with no issues. Before this we bought three brand new dvd players from big box stores and they would not play most cheap dvds bought from walmart they would say incompatible disc. or they would play it initially and stop a day or two later. This one has not had one issues and has played over 30 different dvds without issue. I like how compact it is and how it plugs into usb so it is portable if needed. Highly recommend!! Read more
This unfortunately doesn't play BluRay, or it might be the perfect little unit. It is compact ... not much bigger than the discs themselves. Plugs in easily, and works well. Within minutes I had a DVD playing on my TV via the included HDMI cable. Supports Dolby 5.1 as well. While the lack of BluRay is a bit of a knock, the players that do are also $50 more. Read more

needed a dvd player for my son and i didn't want to get a big one that he would use once and never touch it again, so i found this one. I am impressed with it really. It works great, super small and compact. so far has had no issues with it. Read more
There were no instructions on how to attach it to tv. As a senior Luddite I had to Google how to attach it, that said, everything needed was included except for the 2 AAA batteries -(audio and hdmi cables). Works well, is small and looks good, price was reasonable, would recommend for people who understand how to connect it to tv and would offer help to those who don’t. Read more
Absolutely love this for viewing my PAL (region 2) DVD’s! Easy set up and I ended up buying a small transmitter for Bluetooth headphones. Has so many ways to hookup! Easy peasy! Read more
This is a great DVD player for the size. Important to note the remote must a have direct line to the front of the player for it to work. I bought this for a 32" wall mounted kitchen tv that has very little room behind it and kitchen appliances under it. I needed something small enough to squeeze in somewhere and this worked perfect. I had a small Roku stand that I was able to stick the DVD player to and it fits behind the tv even when collapsed pretty close to the wall. I cannot use the remote because I chose to put the DVD player in a place where the remote does not have a direct line to the front of the player. But if I hold the remote under the tv and angle it up, it works. So this remote does not work "through" objects the way that some remotes do. When I had the stand clipped to the top of the tv the way it's intended, the DVD player was visible above the tv and the remote worked great from across the room. I only had to use the HDMI cord and the power cord. Often with wall mounted tv's, some of the ports are inaccessible. With mine, the red, yellow, and white ports were blocked by the tv mount, so it was great I only had to use the HDMI cord, because the HMDI port is in the side of my tv and accessible. Picture and sound are great. All of the buttons you need are directly on the DVD player, so if you lose the remote, you can still use the full functionality. For such a small light-weight DVD player, I'm so impressed with the quality of the picture. If you travel a lot and want an easy DVD player to pack, this is it. You could easily plug this in to hotel tvs and it weighs next to nothing to travel with. For anyone who remembers them, this is similar to a discman. One that doesn't easily skip. It's probably even lighter weight than one, albeit maybe a tiny bit thicker. It uses a USB-C charger, which it comes with. Also, it has a volume control on the player itself as well as headphone jack. There is a USB port so I suppose you could put movies on a USB stick and play them that way. In another review someone said this plays DVDs from anywhere globally/any format. I haven't tried it, but I'm excited to hear that because it would help with learning a new language to play movies/tv shows and it's often hard to find everything I want in US format. All around super happy with this purchase. Will likely buy more for other rooms. Cutting back on streaming services to save some money and reverting back to my DVD collection for a while. This makes it easy and not messy looking. Read more

I purchased this to use with a laptop and TVs. My fault, it doesn't actually claim that it works on laptops and doesn't, but be aware. No stars marked off for my stupidity. Pros: Size is great if you have little space Using HDMI cord, picture is Good. Not 4K "great" so if you are particular about this, this is not for you. If you are old school and good with something that looks like the TVs show you watched in the past (think Gilligan's Island or Buffy the Vampire Slayer) without the drop outs, but still with the slightly grainy quality, it's good and accurate to the quality of the DVD. Newer DVDs are also of appropriate quality. I accidentally turned it sideways. Kept playing, no issues. Remembers where you stopped. Easy setup for HDMI. Plays discs I have with some heavy duties scrapes on them (purchased second hand). This is the ONLY DVD player that will play those discs. That alone makes it a keeper for me. Cons: Cannot find a way to adjust the picture size properly on the dvd player. It has Normal ps, Normal LB and 16:9. How about 4:3 for those really old DVDs in CRT size? The two "NORMAL" sizes don't fix the image. My non mini DVD players will fix that. Yes, I often have to adjust the size on the TV, too, but I can't make the picture size work with 2 of 4 TVs. My non mini DVD players work with all of them. Player makes a"ticking" sound as it plays. If you have sensitive hearing, it will drive you insane. Remote is "slow". You press the button and it waits a beat before anything happens. At least mine does that. Bottom line: Good enough for average dvd play if you aren't picky about perfect pictures and don't mind or can place it where the ticking sound won't bother you. Standard small DVD players which aren't that much bigger these days are better (my non mini is only 3 inches wider and two inches deeper). That is plays DVDs with scrapes that other DVD players won't means I will keep it, but if it hadn't done that I would have returned it. It's just OK, IMO. Read more
