This electric heating eye mask arrived today and worked flawlessly. I set it on High and within one minute it heated to maximum temperature, which I would not want any hotter; I think that it might be a little bit too hot to leave it on for sleeping, since the entire mask gets hot, even over the eyeballs up to the brow and under lower eyelid area. I set the timer to 30 minutes and it turned off fine. It goes up to 60 minutes. I did not try the low or medium settings because I got used to the High heat setting since I was using it for a stye on the eyelid. The cover is of good quality material and seals nicely with velcro, which can be removed to wash the cover. The elastic band is also good, well stitched to cover, and has two adjusting buckles. I was surprised and glad that this worked so well because of its lower price range, and the fact that I read reviews of other products which reported uneven heating and failing timers. I do recommend this Ezona heating mask and will consider purchasing for gifts. I just received it today, so I can't coment on longevity, but I suspect it'll last because of the quality observed. have used many warm eye masks, and I find this one to be the best by far in terms of heat intensity, comfort, fit, and washability. My only complaint is the timer, which is wildly inaccurate and unreliable. For example, when set to 30 minutes, it seems to shut off after only about 20 minutes. Read more
I ordered this heated eye mask to deal with blocked tear ducts per the suggestion of my doctor. The 2 star rating is because I really like the mask but as you will see below, the automatic timer on the mask is defective. I ordered this mask because it had good reviews regarding softness, fit, and soothing heat. There were some reviews suggesting poor reliability. I chose to ignore these. When I used the mask, it was indeed soft, the fit was good, and the heating worked great. I really like this mask. However, when I used my iPhone to test the timer on the mask, I found that when I set the timer on the mask for "15 min", it shut off at 10 min. I then set the timer for "30 min" and it shut off at 10 min. The timer on the mask didn't even last for 2 uses. As I really like the mask, I will give the manufacturer of the devise the benefit of the doubt and let them send me a replacement. If the replacement works, then the first mask was defective. If you are thinking of buying this mask, I suggest you really think about your purchase. I will update this review after I receive the replacement. UPDATE: I am giving it 1 star! I received the replacement mask within a day. When I plugged in the mask and set the timer for 15 minutes, the timer shut down after 12 minutes. I was timing it using my cell phone. I was disappointed but I thought I would give the mask a second chance so I waited a day and set the timer for 30 minutes. It shut off in 14 minutes. I am returning the mask because I do not trust that the timer will last. While I can live with the 14 minutes of heat, my concern is that the timer is defective and it is highly likely that it will stop working very quickly. It is amazing to me that this company put effort into designing a comfortable mask that does apply comforting heat to the eyes but chose to attach the mask to a cheap worthless timing devise. If the timer doesn't work, the very nice mask is useless. Oh. by the way, I never experienced the lavender scent which was ok as I didn't want it any way. Perfect. The doctor says using this twice a day along with eye drops will, help with dry eyes. Wearing the mask is comfortable with an adjustable strap around your head. The mask has a very simple and efficient switch with a timer and temperature control. Well worth the price! Read more
