I own an ORORO vest and although its included battery last surprisingly long, I wanted to have a backup for events like a football game in December in Chicago, complete with tailgating before and after. That’s a LONG time. This Sevdiea 16000mAh battery fits perfectly in the pocket of my vest in spite of its somewhat larger dimensions, probably due to its larger capacity. Another plus was that although this battery came with cables to connect to other brands of vest, for the very popular ORORO, no adapter was required. Charging, like virtually all of the batteries for heated clothing, is slow. It can take several hours to recharge this battery, even if plugged into a PD charger. There were no cautions about using a high wattage USB-A charger, but for me, I plan to play it safe and charge using a USB-A charger. The clear display showing the percentage of charge is very handy and much better than the LEDs used in most of these types of batteries, especially when you’re getting low. For example, at halftime of the Chicago Bears game (4F weather!) I looked at my ORORO battery and saw two of the four LEDS lit. Was that at least 50%? Or could it mean between 25% and 50%? I ended up swapping batteries just to be safe. The digital display on this battery removes all ambiguity. I like that. The battery can be used for other purposes as well, like charging your phone, which is handy! It seemed to charge my phone a lot faster than I can charge this battery. I recharged my Pixel 9 Pro from 30% to 80% using 13% of this battery. I have a purpose-built backup battery which works better for recharging purposes, but in a pinch it’s nice to have this as an option. It’s versatility is a plus. The battery feels very dense and seems well-made overall. Capacity is greater than the Orororo “mini” battery that came with my vest. I wish I could be precise in how much greater, but my experiences have been in very different conditions. The ambient temperature can greatly affect capacity, so absent a controlled test, it’s hard to compare apples to apples. Speaking of ambient temperature, it’s a good idea to wear the battery near your body, whether or not it’s in use at the time. You want to keep it as warm as possible to preserve its capacity. That is something that’s true of virtually all batteries that are currently in use for heated clothing. So overall, this battery functions extremely well. I have no complaints whatsoever as a battery for my vest and give it bonus points for versatility and adaptability. Read more

I just discovered heated vests this season and I’m never going to be cold ever again. The most important detail I’d like to convey is this battery was manufactured by the same folks (Shenzhen R-TAX Technology Co, LTD) who made the 20000mAh battery pack provided with my heated vest. Although the batteries cases look different, they have the same bottom label (see pic). FYI, the vest I have is “Starines Heated Vest for Men Women with APP Control & 7.4V 20000mAh Battery Pack, Winter Heating Vests Hiking Christmas Gifts”. PACKAGING/CONTENTS: Comes in a small flimsy cardboard box which is fine bc they have to ship this in a real cardboard box with proper hazard labels, etc. Inside the box is the battery pack, user guide, USB C cable and DC extension cable. The battery pack has a 2 way USB C port and DC and USB A outputs. FUNCTIONALITY: Came charged to 75% out of the box. Again, as this is the same brand of battery that came with my heated vest it was easy plug and play. This should work for any 7.4V heated vest with DC. BATTERY LIFE: I haven’t carefully measured how long the battery lasts, but on the low setting I can use either battery all day (i.e., it lasts for several hours). In fact, yesterday I forgot to turn it off before playing 3 hours of pickleball and I still was able to use it for another 3 hours after that and still have some power left. Your mileage will vary. USB C charging of the battery pack is fairly slow (I do it overnight) which is exactly why I obtained this second pack. It allows me to always have a fully charged battery out the door. As an added bonus, you can use either the USB A or USB C ports to charge your phone and other devices. SIZE: It’s naturally both lighter and thinner than the 20000mAh battery pack that came with my vest so that is a bonus. Dimensions are approximately 4”x3”x1” … about the size of an average men's wallet. QUALITY/DURABILITY: Unit feels solid in the hand. Finely textured hard plastic case. However, if you dropped this from waist height onto a hard surface I have the feeling it would crack as it’s not really reinforced. VALUE: MSRP is about half the cost of a heated vest and battery but it’s worth it to stay cozy all winter. I think it is appropriately priced. OVERALL: BUY. Two batteries is sufficient for me, but if I lose one I’d definitely buy a new one of these as a replacement. Read more

I bought this heated vest battery pack as a replacement/backup, and so far I’m very satisfied with its performance. The build quality feels solid and well-made, not cheap at all, and the size is compact enough to comfortably fit in a vest pocket without feeling bulky. One thing I really appreciate is the weight. It’s well balanced and not heavy at all—you can easily keep it in an inside pocket of a jacket or heated vest and honestly forget it’s even there. It doesn’t pull the fabric down or feel uncomfortable while moving, which is very important for everyday use. The LED percentage display is another strong point. Being able to see the exact battery level from 1% to 100% is extremely useful, especially when using a heated vest outdoors—you always know how much runtime you have left instead of guessing. In real use, the battery delivers very good runtime depending on the heat setting and lasts through long outings on medium or low heat. I’ve also been using it as a regular power bank to charge phones and other USB-powered devices, and it works really well. Charging is fast and efficient, and it stays cool the entire time—no noticeable heat even during extended use, which speaks to its quality and safety. With multiple ports (USB, Type-C, and DC), it’s very versatile and compatible with different devices. Overall, this is a high-quality, reliable battery pack that performs great both as a heated vest battery and as a general-purpose power bank. I definitely recommend it. Read more
