Great garlic smasher Read more
I only have one con, so I’ll lead with that: I hand washed this garlic press and set it out to dry. When I went to put it away the next day, several drops of water ran out from somewhere (inside the handle, maybe??) which means you will need to carefully dry it before storing. Otherwise, this is a great tool! You have to line up the interior plunger correctly, but once that’s done, it’s fabulously easy to use. The garlic I used was old, which meant it was kind of tough and squishy, but this press made short work of it, and I was able to press three small cloves all at once! No more endless and tiresome mincing for me! I really like how the prongs of the plunger line up with the holes in the press so you can get as much of the garlic as possible. (See photo.) I’m a fan; I’ll just be careful to make sure to shake out any water and dry it well before storing it. Read more

Crushes garlic easily, very practical to use. Read more
My spouse and I each tried out this press and both concluded it doesn’t work well enough to be worth the effort. The plastic has too much flex, and it’s not strong enough to easily mince the garlic. It takes multiple squeezes and lots of pressure, and scraping. Even when you apply so much pressure you think the handle will snap, it still doesn’t push the garlic clove all the way through. The amount of work for the resulting output is not better than when we just crush the garlic with a mallet and chop with a knife. I think the main issue is the plastic construction and loose-fitting hinge. A metal version with a sharper blade and tighter tolerances might work better. Read more

This looks just like the pictures on here and is as described. It feels pretty solid (not flimsy and like it's gonna fall apart any minute). It looks and feels like it'll stand up over time & do the job. The texture is good for easy gripping, without feeling rough or uncomfortable. Good deal! Read more
This is a nice garlic press. I have had expensive ones before and it is so hard to get the small pieces that get stuck inside the holes. By reversing the tool all the way around backwards, this press has a built in cleaner to push the extra bits out whether for you dish or while cleaning the tool. It is made of plastic so I cannot comment on what the life of this tool will be, but until I can find a solid tool that doesn’t chip and has the added feature of the the cleaning press, I will be using this one. I’ve been wanting a garlic press and the fact that this one is all stainless steel is what sold me on it. It says it is dishwasher safe too, which is a huge plus. I’m hoping it holds up over time. If anything changes I will update my review! Read more
This garlic press feels well constructed and durable. It's easy to grip. However, half of the garlic was left smashed on the metal presser. For just under $25, it should be better. 3.5 stars Read more
