These are sturdy, well-functioning clippers that get the job done. I thought I would prefer barrel spring to a leaf spring, but I actually found it a little harder to latch them closed with the barrel spring. My wife took one look at these and asked I was cutting our toenails or a grizzly bears!! It's huge, it's hefty, but it's wonderful! It has a substantial yet confident feel in your hand. By no means does it feel cheap. Nice stainless steel, and sharp clippers that make haste of your toenails, regardless of size or thickness.
