This roll-up tool bag is pretty solid. It's made of a thick nylon material, which should hold up to a fair amount of abuse. With tools shifting around in the bag whenever you're moving it, you want something thick. This is essentially a long sheet of material with a bunch of detachable pouches. The pouches attach with Velcro (hook and loop), so it's really easy to remove a part and reorganize how the pouches are laid out. There are 3 large pouches that are just bags with zippers. These are fine for storing pretty much anything. The one on the end is actually sewn in so you can't move that one around, but the other ones are detachable. Then there's a pouch for wrenches, which folds closed with velcro. It can hold a set of 6 wrenches, has an elastic band through the middle where you can tuck em into. Good for a smaller set. At the end there's two small zip-up pouches. They'd be good for storing smaller stuff like wire nuts or screws/bolts, etc. To roll it up you just fold it over a few times. There are two straps with metal buckles that wrap around and clip back into themselves. They're easy to unbuckle, but they don't come undone by themselves (I've had this issue before). It comes with an adjustable shoulder strap, there are two grommets on the body that you clip into. It's actually padded really well so it's comfortable to carry around. When it's all rolled up, there's a mesh pocket with a zipper on the outside, good if you need quick access to something smaller. If I have one complaint it's that the zippers feel a little bit on the cheaper side. Overall, good tool bag. Pretty good price for what you're getting. Read more

In the past I've alternated between not having much in my car and wishing I hadn't taken something out, or having big bins with a bunch of stuff just piled in and tough to sort through even if it doesn't tip over. I've tried a few smaller individual pouches but that hasn't been great either. With this, I can fit a lot in a tidy, confined way. With the velcro I can even yank out pieces if I need to grab the tool roll or grab a bag of ratchet straps to use in another car. The fabric seems thick, durable, and like it will do an ok job of not attracting dirt and gunk. The small pouches will work for odds and ends but isn't big enough for a tire inflator or anything like that, so I wish they were a little thicker. The tool roll I have some ratchet strap pads in at the moment but will probably find some other way to stick them in there and add a few basic tools instead like it is intended for, I wish it had a little more room to wrap because it can barely get around the pads. Then the big pouches for ratchet straps, tie downs, etc. I don't think a set of jumper cables could fit unless they were really crappy thin ones, but I switched to batter jump packs years ago so that doesn't really matter to me. Overall, I think this will work well for my current purpose, but you could use it quite a few different ways, really with the velcro structure, you could even make your own separate components to velcro into the roll instead (which I might do with those ratchet strap pads) I think you could use this in a lot of different ways and layouts.
