The quality of the picture and sound were great. I just got it because I’m a big fan of Clive Barker’s work. The clarity was beautiful and it would be great for home theater because I have a sound bar and the sound was so great, it was hard to distinguish whether the sounds were from the TV or outside my house. The movie itself was a tad bit too gross for me and I’m a big “Hellraiser” fan. This installment was a little over the top. Read more

I am a long time hellraiser fan! ALL OF THEM!!!! I Love Pinhead! So that's why I'm giving it 5 stars! This new pinhead was absolutely awesome!! He looked GREAT!!, I can't believe I'm saying this! because I love Doug! But wow the new pin was better in many ways. He did an Awesome job and I hope he comes back to play the roll again. I went into this film thinking it was gonna be a train wreck! I think I'm overly excited because it was better then I expected. The story was crap tho! Very cheaply done. It's is equal to the past sequels that I enjoyed very much. Unlike most everyone who hated the sequels, I thought they were great crime story horror films. An judgment fits into that category perfect. Sure this could have been better! The story was kinda lame! Pin looked Great!! The little bit of gore was descent, some nudity! No sex, if your on the fence about buying it, I'd rent it first. If your a fan of franchise I would buy it! Read more

I really liked certain parts but if I were to crop out what I didn’t like it would probably be a 20 minute movie. I enjoyed the beginning, the end, and and all the Hell scenes. But the CSI crime detecting part of the story was pretty boring to me and I struggled to keep interest during those parts. However, I do think I’d enjoy those scenes more when I re-watch it. Pretty creative crime scenes, though I’d have loved to have actually seen the special effects of the crimes being committed in flashback scenes in its full glory. It was cool recognizing all the OKC buildings and locations that they filmed at. I almost auditioned for this movie during cast call but nowthat I know the cenobite girls were all nude, and blonde, I’m glad I didn’t lol. The new guy Paul Taylor who played Hell Priest was not bad at all, but I’m not sure I like how they portrayed the Corporate demon side of him. Major complaints aside from the boring detective storyline: They made the prosthetic on my favorite cenobite, Chatterer, very weird... his teeth weren’t moving when the chomp sound was happening...I think they went cheap on his mask, still it’s better than CGI. All the rest of the effects and prosthetics were very well done except on the naked demon girls. And there just wasn’t enough boobs (extreme sarcasm)... if you’re going to have that many bare boobs and thongs on screen I’d at least like to see a schlong thrown in there somewhere to make it more diverse lol. The girls looked weird with their faces all messed up but their bare bodies flawless and large bosomed. I have a new favorite character though! The Auditor. Very cool character. Want to see more of him. Recently found out he was the writer and director. Love to meet him and hope he continues on to write another one with a more Hell centered, and cenobite character themed story line. I think they set up the ending to make for a really great continuing story on the series that I’d like to see happen as long as the director polishes up the story line next time around. I have never read Clive’s novel storyline so I don’t know how closely this follows. Read more

I have watched all of the Hellraiser movies and this is one of the best. A great story with a couple of unexpected plot twists, some wonderful characters and some fabulous scenes. The Auditor is one of the most interesting and intriguing characters in any of the Hellraiser movies. Note: This is so much better than Revelations, which was an awful piece of garbage. Read more

After Revelations was made to keep the franchise rights, hopes weren't high for the series. However, Gary, Paul, and the rest of the cast and crew did a fantastic job with Judgment. The film has enough in common with the rest of the series (along with a few nods), and opens new territory, that I'd love to see a direct sequel to this one. It can certainly go into new and exciting places now. My only two complaints are I felt it could've easily been at least half an hour longer, and Heather was under utilised. (Though I love seeing her in anything.) All in all, by far the best Hellraiser since the second (in my opinion), and congratulations to everyone involved for making a limited budget into a great film. Read more
