I can clearly detect each scent: the marshmallow fluff is most noticeable with the strawberry melting into it well. The peppermint scent is kind of subtle but it is there. Hempz is one of my favorite lotion brands, and the Pink Peppermint Meringue Body Moisturizer did not disappoint—especially for the holiday season. The peppermint scent is refreshing without being overpowering and feels perfect for winter. I love that it contains aloe vera, which helps keep my skin calm and prevents irritation. What I appreciate most, though, is how lightweight it feels. It absorbs quickly into my skin and doesn’t leave that greasy or oily feeling behind, so my skin feels hydrated without making it hard to open containers or go about my day. This smells absolutely disgusting and nothing like peppermint. I love the smell of peppermint but the struggle is always to find one that doesn’t have the peppermint scent buried under sickly sweet smells. I thought that meringue would be light enough (it smells very faintly sweet in the food form) that it wouldn’t be too bad & was excited to get this as the packaging is really cute too. It smells nothing like the name- it’s like a chemical berry scent with almost no peppermint. It reminds me of how berry flavored cold medicine would smell & the scent is so strong I couldn’t even get it to wash off my hands for hours despite washing with dish soap and my regular hand soap multiple times. This one made me sad. Do not order if you’re sensitive to smells or if you hate berry scented things because that’s what it smells like. No peppermint in sight. Read more
