4/10/25 UPDATE! After simply leaving the following 2 star review, the seller (Quifex) reached out and offered a refund. Top notch customer service deserving of a 5 star review. While the herding ball looks like it has been through a decade of puppy abuse, it is still fully inflated and our puppy is herding it from one end of the yard to the other. We finally cut off the handles and excess material at the top of the zipper after they were shredded to pieces. 3/22/25 ORIGINAL REVIEW: We purchased the KitSip herding ball for our 19 week old Miniature Australian Shepherd and received it on Saturday, March 22nd. We busted it out immediately and got it ready to introduce to our puppy. She is completely deaf and even without verbal cues she immediately knew what to do with it. It was so fun to watch her do her thing. Our sweet baby absolutely loves it! She rolls it around the yard with her nose/mouth and sometimes drags it by the handles which unfortunately are already showing some major wear and tear after 3 days (maybe 2 hours TOTAL) of playing with it. While I’m pretty sure the handles will not survive very long it isn’t that big of a big deal. However, the cover over the zipper has not held up after a couple of hours playing time. The ball is constantly in motion when she is playing with it and we put it up when she stops herding and/or pulling it around. I have attached some photos that were taken on Monday, March 24th and you can see that the zipper cover is almost useless and coming off which concerns me if it already looks like this after 3 days. We have thought about returning it, but she loves it so much. She looks for it everytime we go outside and all but pouts when we don’t have time to play with it. However, for the price it shouldn’t have so much wear and tear after a couple of hours playtime. I have looked to see if there is a replacement cover but can’t find one. I would love some suggestions as to what we should do about this zipper cover and handles. Read more

We have a playful pitty that would be considered an aggressive chewer- the kong toy kind of guy. This is his 2nd ball after his first which was a giant horseball. While that one lasted to the end of 5yrs before finally giving it away we decided to get one a bit smaller. Same construction but the cover actually seems more durable than the horseball cover. We leave it a little loose so he can grab on to the cover to sling it around and that seems to satisfy him enough to not bite into the actual ball. While the popular horse ball on here is fun to watch, it is so large that I stopped laughing when he would knock it into the lawn furniture and roll over every single plant and yard decor. His zoomies became a surprise attack of spontaneous play with the horse ball. He managed to time it when I was low to the ground or working on something in the yard. So, without wanting to put bumper guards around every yard gem, we deciding to give it away and go with a smaller ball. I leave these out in the weather (virginia) and I expect this one to last as long as the first. Same cordura? Type of material for the ball cover. I love the handle. It let's me throw it with one hand and also another deterrence from him actually biting the ball. Durability continued- dogs are different. The first horse ball lasted years but when I gave it to a friend with 4 German shepherds, it lasted 20 minutes. I'm sure this one could have the same outcome. It is basically a yoga ball with a durable cover. Not once did I have to add air to the horse ball having gone through 4 seasons year after year. This ball is holding air so far after the few months of use. Again, not overinflating it and keeping slack in the cover has worked well for me. Read more

After my initial review of product and the crazy $20 price increase😱😱, I decided to edit my review. Because, the price was significantly decreased to what I originally paid, I changed my review. I changed my review from 3 star to 4 star & purchased another for our furbaby. He adored his ball so much, which had finally succumbed to his love for it😀 He will be so excited to have his favorite ball back. I feel the original $39.99 was the fair price, but the joy he had in playing with this ball, I will the pay $45.99. I will certainly be willing to buy a replacement in the future if the price doesn't ridiculously increase again. Twenty $$ price increase in a month's time!! Our dog loves this ball but the cover is about to come off, it's coming apart at the seams. I wish a replacement cover was offered for purchase. I was considering purchasing him another one of these only because he loves the handles it has on it. He takes that ball everywhere, sun, rain and mud puddles as you can see in the Pic how loved it is. We purchased it for $39.99 and now it is $59.99! What a disappointment! We will not be buying this ball again for that price. Read more

I’m disappointed. First, the hand pump that was supposed to be included was missing. That was not a deal breaker for me. However, once I finally got the ball inflated, I found that the cover was way too big for the ball. I had seen a review that mentioned this same problem but I understand that things are not always perfect in manufacturing, so I decided to give it a try anyway. Sadly, I am now leaving a review for the same problem. The ball and the cover seem to be good quality, but they just don’t go together. This ball is far too expensive for the fit to be that far off. Unfortunately, I will be returning it. Read more
